Deep golden color, frothy white head, nice carbonation. Sharp hoppy nose that is fairly herbal with oranges and peaches. The mouth is a bit heavy, full on hop assault, but sufficient enough backbone to balance everything out. Big bad bitter finish. Very aggressive. Hops just linger and linger. Fantastic and really well executed.

Tap. Pours clear golden with a large creamy beige head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is light pine, citrus, Passionfruit, guava, musk melon. Flavor follows, light sweet and medium bitter, fruity, tropical, a bit dank. Pretty nice finish with lingering tropical bitterness. Medium body, oily mouthfeel

Aroma is pretty gentle hops and some yeast. Taste is great to open with bubbles and citrusy hops. Don't pick up much of the lager in this one, more of a classic American style IPA. Good overall.

Keg @ Mekong. Hazy amber pour with a tiny white head. The nose is full of mango. Pretty bright, mild underarm. Very much the aroma of a ballsy IPA. The taste is of mellow orange sherbet. Toasted white bread. Grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium body, crisp. Pretty tasty stuff.

On tap at The Reservoir (Waterbury) Pours golden with low white head. Very nice lacing. Aroma is of strawberries, fruits. Taste is of citrus, strawberries, bitterness. Palate: Light-medium body. Somewhat sticky for a lager. Overall: Pretty fruity. Not your usual lager. Good!

On tap @ The Reservoir (Waterbury). Clear golden/orange wit a small white head and some lacing. Aroms if fruity with citrus, lot of hops, grassy notes and light floral presence. Taste is slight sweet with citrus, fruits and grass with a light bitter finish. Medium body. Good carbonation. Slightly sticky and dry finish. Very good beer. Main feature is the large amount of hops in the aroma. Drinkable and quenching.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2014 Super fresh growler, I believe this was release day for a new batch and man can you tell. Like the difference between eating fruit off the tree and from the grocery store. The hops and malt are in full display and it is lovely. Everything is clean, clear and in balance here. I just love fresh beer. The crazy thing to me is this tastes like a dry-hopped Brett ale -- one of my very favorite styles. I don’t drink many lagers so I don’t know if that’s typical. For me, The Bruery really shines on this moderate ABV stuff. UPDATE, 3 months and as couple growlers later. It’s time to raise my rating -- I’m in love with this one. It is an incredible beer every time. Amazing as a hop showcase. Pretty much perfection for what it seems to want to be. I am in the Bruery Reserve Society but have passed up the limited beers every time lately in favor of this. I’ve had a few other hoppy lagers now and none come close. Calling it 4.4 and feeling like I’m underrating it.

Pale yellow. Nose is uber juicy like tangerine rind. Peaches, bark and orange candies. Very crass and easy to drink.
