Fantastic brew, would never really have guessed it was a lager. Clean, crisp, fruity bouquet. A little dank on the palate in just the right way, with a very nice, soft, mild malt character fully supporting the hops.

An eleven for the aroma. Like biting a fresh hop. Truely the epitome of this new IPL category, the hops are citrusy and floral and linger around just the right amount. The flagship beer of this newish style.

Draft at Jerry’s. Gold with huge, flotsam, white bread / Bright nose of cut pine, weed, citrus / Medium body, very hoppy with bite, good fruit to match, just superb balance with fine bitter finish / Elegant flavors of cut pine, weed, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple / Not like a lager that I’ve ever had, but a terrific pale ale.j

On tap at the shack for Sacramento beer week. Aroma is very hoppy. Nice earthy and citrus hop flavor. Being a lager the hops are very bright. Palate is clean and finishes witha long bitterness/oily. Nice head and lacing. Pretty clear pour. Overall delicious, the bruery never disappoints!

Pours a golden translucent color with a two finger head. Sick aroma, so pungent, in your face with hops. Tastes and smells like an ipa, finishes like a lager. Solid beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A: Cloudy golden color with a nice fluffy white head, good carbonation. S: A great combination of pine and grapefruit, a bit floral as well (seems to be the case with all Bruery beers, however). T: An excellent crisp bitterness, like the nose, lots of pine and citrus are immediately present. Not much malt character, which is very well suited for this beer (I think, anyway). M: Medium body, very plentiful carbonation as well. D: For as hoppy and apparently high in ABV as this is, you could certainly drink a lot of this (which is why I got my growler filled with it).

Tap @ Tap and Handle Fort Collins. $7 for 10 oz. R u jokin or wat? Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a nice white head. Super fresh hop cone, citrusy, light garlic aroma. Very dry and refreshing, citrusy, incredibly potent hoppy flavor. Fucken a bro. This is some premo shit here. Best lager I’ve had since my visit to Germany last summer.

On tap at the brewery in August 2009. Poured a dark golden with a nice wheat head and a decent amount of lacing as it went down. The smell and taste were both fantastic. Loads of citrus hops, mostly orange; also, a bit of some tropical fruits. The taste went along very similar lines, with the addition of a nice bitterness that nicely balanced out the citrus and tropical flavors. The mouthfeel was a bit light and exceptionally drinkable. Very delicious--hopefully they bottle this. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 01-27-2010

Regular version on tap at The Bruery..Pours cloudy gold with a fluffy white head..Aroma was amazing with floral, citrus and piney hops.. Citrus hop flavor with a lingering bitterness..Thin with lively carbonation.. Very dangerous at 7.2% for how easy it is to drink.. For me this is the best beer they have made outside of Black Tuesday.
