"Te description does not really reflect the greatness that was this brew. This is Pliny in lager form plain and simple. But for a slightly lighter feel (and maaaaybe a tiny tiny bit lighter but otherwise identical aroma and flavor) you can just about copy and paste the Pliny reviews over here. Absolutely stunned by this one."

Tap @ Tap and Handle Fort Collins. $7 for 10 oz. R u jokin or wat? Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a nice white head. Super fresh hop cone, citrusy, light garlic aroma. Very dry and refreshing, citrusy, incredibly potent hoppy flavor. Fucken a bro. This is some premo shit here. Best lager I’ve had since my visit to Germany last summer.

An amazing lager. Ludicrously hoppy, but not to bitter. Great smell, great taste.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2014 Super fresh growler, I believe this was release day for a new batch and man can you tell. Like the difference between eating fruit off the tree and from the grocery store. The hops and malt are in full display and it is lovely. Everything is clean, clear and in balance here. I just love fresh beer. The crazy thing to me is this tastes like a dry-hopped Brett ale -- one of my very favorite styles. I don’t drink many lagers so I don’t know if that’s typical. For me, The Bruery really shines on this moderate ABV stuff. UPDATE, 3 months and as couple growlers later. It’s time to raise my rating -- I’m in love with this one. It is an incredible beer every time. Amazing as a hop showcase. Pretty much perfection for what it seems to want to be. I am in the Bruery Reserve Society but have passed up the limited beers every time lately in favor of this. I’ve had a few other hoppy lagers now and none come close. Calling it 4.4 and feeling like I’m underrating it.

On tap at the bruery. Color was a bright gold semi clear with a white head. Aromas of slight sweet malt and somw citrus. Nice and smooth in your mouth with some carbonation. Medium light body. Solid bitter hops with a good malt balance. Finish is on the drier side. Good beer.

On tap at the brewery in August 2009. Poured a dark golden with a nice wheat head and a decent amount of lacing as it went down. The smell and taste were both fantastic. Loads of citrus hops, mostly orange; also, a bit of some tropical fruits. The taste went along very similar lines, with the addition of a nice bitterness that nicely balanced out the citrus and tropical flavors. The mouthfeel was a bit light and exceptionally drinkable. Very delicious--hopefully they bottle this. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 01-27-2010

On tap at The Bruery. Pour was a rather clear yellow-gold. Thin white head, good lacing. Aromas of fresh flowers, light pine, some light citrus and tropical fruits. Very nice. The lagered yeast gave a slightly sweet smell, but wasn’t in your face. Taste is very light bodied but full-flavored. The alcohol content could easily creep up on the unsuspecting drinker. More floral hops with a slight resin follow a light malt backbone into a crisp citrusy finish. Excellent beer for the style....for any beer actually.

A very drinkable lager. Nice combination of hops and malts. Hops shine here and the flavors of citrus and malt are complimentary. A nice session ale.
