COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A special collaboration between The Bruery and Cigar City Brewing, fruits grown in our home states were added to Marron Acidifie, enhancing the coastal flavors.

Sampled at the Reserve Society Celebration 2012. Pours a murky brown color. It is a richer version of M.A. though I think I like the brightness of that beer instead. The dates are strong in this beer and it dilutes the sour a bit too much for me.

Rating #3000. 750 ml bottle courtesy of fishingnet. Thanks, Ben. Huge hookup here from the release. Pours a murky brownish swampy hue, some glowing deep caramel cocoa edges with a lively frothing carbonation. The bottle became a slow gusher. Cakey frothy tannish head sits atop and laces, sticks around well. Rusty. Aromas are vibrant citrusy and tropical fruits mixing with sour cherries, lactic acid, and oak. A decent touch of brett mixing with guava, vinegar, and some touches of dark fruits. Raspberries, cherries, and touches of currant. Vibrant strawberry, leather, and earth. Quite a potent sour nose with a melange of complex fruit, which differs a bit from the base with though sour and winey as well, didnít have a nose that popped like this. Initial is healthy red wine, oak, and lactic acid, making me immediately think of Matt Van Wykís sour treatments. Lemons, berries, and currant mix with touches of crisp biscuits and caramel, dancing into more oak, leather, and vinegar touches. A dryness coats after the lively fruity uppercut, offering dry brett, cobwebs, and lactic acid. Fruit remains, giving some tropical and citrusy life, dark fruit touches compliment the red wine oak elements, touches of vanilla. A gentle spice into the finish, with lingering lactic, vinegar, and sour wild elements, oak. More berries, currant. The beer becomes a bit thick and yeasty in appearance as it settles a bit, but the flavors are quite divine, offering many different elements. Finish is fruit and sour, touches of guava and strawberry, sweeter dates, plums, and prunes mellow it out. More oak, lactic yogurty quality grows. Pretty nice, a bit thick and grainy as it settles. Great flavors though, even in itís colder stages. Not the prettiest beer for sure, and thatís probably why it has a bump down over the base (as it was on tap). Well done collab sour brew here.

Pours thick amber in color with a decent tan head. The aroma is fruity with wild yeast notes. The flavors of fruit come in strong at first with wild yeast notes rounding out the brew. Not very puckering sour, more smooth like a Flemish Red with a lighter, chewy body.

Clear dark amber color/ tan head. Tart cherry, toffee, lemon, bretty barnyard aromas. medium bodied with soft co2. Sour cherry, lemon, pit fruit flavors, with caramel. Medium sour front to back--good.

Bottle shared at Tower of Sour Power. Iíve been looking forward to trying this since I had Marron Acidifie. Was there much of a difference? Honestly not really. This had that sour mustard type smell along with a sour tart flavor. I like them both donít get me wrong.

Poured into my SN tulip. It poured a deep dark brown with a fizzy white head the quickly disappeared. Smelled of dark fruits and vinegar notes. Tasted of figs, dates, raisins and other dark fruits. The oak flavors were not as prevalent as Iíd hoped but came through late nonetheless. Well carbonated for the style. Iím not a huge sour fan but this was one of the better ones Iíve had.

Rating number 2,500. Thanks to GregSVT for sharing this bottle at the Flying Saucer Beer Tasting. The beer pours a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of dark fruit, with a lot of cherries, cranberries and blackberries. I also get a nice dose of brown sugar and some light tartness. The flavor is also very nice. I get a lot of tart cherries and other dark fruit, as well as some nice oaked notes. I get a little bit of toffee as well as some light sweetness and brown sugar notes. The sweet and sour components go very well together. The mouthfeel is relatively thin and the carbonation is pretty low. A very nice sour beer.

Bottle. Pleased to see this. Pours a murky reddish brown color. Light ring of head. Aroma is tart, sour, funky and maybe light cherries. Flavor is acidic, tart, sour, some sour cherries. Whoa!

(750ml bottle thanks to GregSVT) cloudy orange with creamy fine tan head. Nose of currant, cranberry, wet wood and earth. Taste of tart berry, currant, blackberry, wet wood and earth. Nice linger, tart, and wet wood stay on the palate.

Bottle thanks to Steve. Pour dark brown. Nose/taste of bourbon barrel, tart raisin and dark fruit, smooth non-acidic vinegar, fig, guava and oak. Medium body.
