3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle generously shared by colonelforbin. Thanks Mike. Pours a dark brown with a small white head that disappears fairly quickly and leaves some light lacing on the glass. The aroma is caramel malt, some light brett, a bit of vinegar, some oak, and a light bourbon note. The taste has a light initial sweetness with a decent tartness. There is caramel, some raisin, a bit of vinegar, and some oak. A hint of alcohol with a decent tartness on the finish. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Not bad, but not all that much different from Marron Acidifie.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Good beer. It was a nice sour with fruit notes coming through. It is a very well balanced beer. The sourness was countered very well by the fruit and carbonation

Poured into my SN tulip. It poured a deep dark brown with a fizzy white head the quickly disappeared. Smelled of dark fruits and vinegar notes. Tasted of figs, dates, raisins and other dark fruits. The oak flavors were not as prevalent as I’d hoped but came through late nonetheless. Well carbonated for the style. I’m not a huge sour fan but this was one of the better ones I’ve had.
