COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
75% American Red Ale, 25% Ale Aged in American Oak Barrels. A brash American Red ale, dripping with citrusy Centennial hops, mellowed by a touch of oak. Aromas of toffee, citrus, crushed herbs, vanilla and fresh-sawn oak. Complex!

Tap at The Bruery. Muddy burnt orange pour. Medium to weak foam. Nose is hefty sage and white pepper. Bright and herbal. Taste is bright lemon and lime, not sticky, fairy dry and dusty with bitter rind and heavy coriander. Good, refreshing despite appearance. Bright herbs abound. Shockingly different than expected.

On tap pours dark reddish amber with white head, aroma has notes of vanilla, toffee, some slight grass and pine notes, going into a slight bit of oak. Taste is a combination of toffee, caramel, some spice, biscuit, touch of grass and pine, slight hint of oaky vanilla finishing slightly dry.

[5/10/12] Bottle sample at Sour & Bitter. Hazy reddish amber. Hoppy citric and floral nose with some malty notes. Flavor has a bit of maltiness, very light sweetness and a bitter hoppy finish. Medium-bodied. Quite nice.

Growler - Flowery hops, with some pine and slight alcohol. Clear dark amber with a decent brown head. Earthy hops , nutty, spice and amber malts. A little heat in the end. Not bad smells better than it tasted, but still good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at the brewpub. Amber pour with a touch of reddish highlights. Frothy head. Citrus hops jump out on the nose - very nice! A little caramel sweetness and a touch of oak. Really nice brew.

Bottle from a trade that I drank with Max and Andy prior to our Montreal and VT trip. Pours a lightly hazed amber red with a medium to large white beige head. Some slight age on it, but that’s my fault. Malt, toast. I don’t really get the oak or much else. Medium bodied, toast, malt. Easy drinking but really not a lot going on.

Tap @ The Bruery.
Pours hazy yellow color with a small head. Quite spicy aroma, herbal too, some fruit notes, wood. Sweet faint fruits on the flavor, peaches, wooden notes and hops. Nice and interesting.

Bottle @ Seabass going away party, Jan15th ’11. Courtesy of Hopscotch.

On tap. Pours with a clear amber body with an off-white head that lasts and leaves good lacing. The aroma is great with notes of honey, dry grain, vanilla, rye, tannins, subtle fruit notes and a decent amount of hoppiness. Flavors are fruity, grainy, dry, and bitter. Some raspberry preserve, oak and tea. A well done beer. Lively bubbles and dry.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours reddish brown with a huge beige head and a hoppy citrus aroma. There is a fruity red ale flavor with a grapefruit finish. A unique brew.
