COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Melange #3 is a blend of three bourbon barrel aged strong ales. White Oak Sap, a wheat wine, our Anniversary Series old ale and our imperial stout, Black Tuesday, join forces in this luxurious strong ale that links some of the best characteristics of each of the contributing beers. Chocolate, dark fruits, oaky vanilla and rich toffee-like character reach through the bourbon veneer for an intensely satisfying quaff.

Bottle shared with the Kernel crew. Dark brown beer, bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, a little dry. Surprisingly light. Vanilla, coconut oak, a little coca cola. Some alcohol dryness in the mid but nothing much. Mild chocolate powder and dark fruits. Interesting beer that drinks much lighter than it’s hefty abv.

On tap at the taproom. A clear looking dark brown beer with a minimal sized light beige head. The aroma has caramel, dried fruits, some alcohol and lots of raisins. Pleasantly mellow and well merged. The flavor is sweet, with alcohol warmth, it’s full bodied and very softly carbonated. Lots of flavors, roasted malt hints, raisins, generic dried fruits, licorice notes, coffee and dark chocolate. Really long finish. Wow, this is gorgeous. 130811
