July 2016 - Bottle share at Craft Beer Co Islington as ’The Bruery Melange #8’. Many thanks to Kenny for this 14.5% beast. Dark brown, hazy, foamy tan head. Aroma is toffee and cola, caramelised sugars. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste has more cola, resinous pine, toffee, creamy coffee, vanilla. Works pretty well. Tasty stuff. One of those rare occasions where I feel a Bruery beer is balanced and drinkable. (3.8)

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co Islington - London. Many thanks to Kenny! Pours mostly clear ruby with a foamy, tan head. Great snout, rich, with ripe berries, bread, toffee. Big sweet flavour with chewy semi-dark fruits, more toffee, fig, dates, light alcohol. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish with further hearty, ripening fruits, lots of dates and figs, more toffee. Excellent sipper. Great depth, rounded edges, high drinkability for the strength. Really fun to drink.

Bottle thanks to the sweet and sticky man - Kenny. It pours murky mahogany brown with a medium yellow-white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, juicy, vanilla, toffee, candy, big booze notes, wood and bourbon. The taste is rich, bitter - sweet, toffee, vanilla fudge, earth, bog warming alcohol booze character, milk chocolate, maltesers and bourbon. Full body and moderate carbonation. Rich, sweet and boozy, but good fun.

Draft @ Bruery. Aroma of bourbon and roasted coffee. Taste has roasted coffee, raisin, vanilla, booze, earthy notes, oak, bitters and some smoke. Really a blend of all kinds of flavors, but it works really well.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is spicy, with caramel, bourbon barrels, and wheaty notes. Flavour reveals bourbon barrels, some spiciness and caramel. Fairly light palate considering the ABV and style. Well-balanced and robust. Very good.
