3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: sour and dry; Appearance: hazy golden straw with thin, white head that hangs around; Taste: interesting combination of some sourness and yeastiness with a finish closer to a lager; works well together; there’s even some smoky notes; Palate: medium body with long, sweet/smoky/bitter finish; Overall: very complex and quite good. Would buy again.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Yeasty. Sourish fruit. Pours a super cloudy orange yellow with a quickly fading foamy white head that leaves just a trace on the glass. Medium bodied. Smooth. Crisp. Clean finish. A hint of sourness. A hint of earthiness.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
4/11/16. 750 ml. Pours a hazy golden yellow w a frothy head and strong lacing. Classic look for a Belgian. Nose is light w a bit of yeasty bread. Mouth has a nice strong forward citrus but not too much bitter. A touch of funky spice I the background. Would be super refreshing but a bit heavy on a hot day.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL bottle poured into a Belgian Tulip glass. The aroma is bright and warm with doughy with pepper and lemon notes as well as late-emerging banana, vanilla, and cookies. The hue is brilliant, clear, effervescent gold with a doughy, sudsy white head that has decent retention and good lace. The taste is a complimentary medium sweet and light bitter. The beer is light-bodies with an oily texture and foamy carbonation. Flavors of lemon and herb with biscuit. The smooth finish reveals notes of banana and mild clove. It’s slightly cloying with a mild, bready and clove aftertaste. Solid example of a Belgian Golden Ale.
