Belgian-style ale, golden and hoppy. Not quite evil, yet not to be trusted, this Golden Ale is effervescent, dry, hoppy and crisp-you’ll want to keep an eye out. (ABV: 8.5%, IBU: 35, SRM: 4, Format: 750 mL bottles and draft)

Gold with small white head. Tap at first draft in Chicago. Smell is nice but not overpowering. Sweet and crisp . Has Belgian elements. Sweet alcohol is hidden nicely. Very easy to drink. Pretty darn good.

Tap at First Draft in Chicago. Lighter golden color with hop aromatics. Taste actually feels pretty tropical and citrusy. Almost hints of sour but in a good way. Refreshing and easy to drink while making alcohol fit the most part. It doesn’t linger but finishes clean. This could actually cause a good deal of mischief.

Pleasant light belgian ale aroma, plenty of light fruity aromas, but a bit sweet and sticky. Palate light and crisp from carbonation. Slightly heady initial taste, not acetone, but something quite harsh at first. Slightly papery hops, in particular in the finish. Full palate, moussy carbonation. Taste does have those nice pale malts that you get from belgian ales, but the harsher chemical aspects aren’t so appealing. 8.5% doesn’t help that, but it isn’t boozy /per se/. Definitely not "dry" as I understand the term, as it’s definitely sweet, almost sticky.

(Bottle, 0.75, courtesy of FatPhil, 20140715) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had fruitiness, Belgian style yeast and solvent. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were Belgian style yeast, sweetness, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was yeasty and bitter. A bit messy Belgian strong ale.

Perfect assimilation of a Belgian ale. Hazy golden in color, with initial lively, airy head, Yeasty, musty aroma, taste of sourdough bread and flowers. Spice and light malts linger.

On draught at The Growler Guys. Full golden color. Aroma is light yeast and bubblegum. Taste is pitted fruit, bubblegum, and light sweet yeast. Very light bodied for such a large alcohol content.

Pours a hazy yellow with a white lace head from tap. Very well balanced hops and citrus. Its a light beer without an overpowering taste despite its tastiness

Nice golden color, clear, white foamy head. Spicy hop aroma and flavor are assertive but not overpowering. Dry alcohol with honey malt undertones. Very interesting and enjoyable.

Very cloudy pale orange-yellow, with a light white head. Intense melon, some banana, clove. Slight bitterness-tanginess initially, bitterness ramps up towards finished, but is balanced by some sweetness. Alcohol is quite upfront, medium carbonation, mid-light body, oily. Very good overall, strong but well balanced.
