Belgian-style ale, golden and hoppy. Not quite evil, yet not to be trusted, this Golden Ale is effervescent, dry, hoppy and crisp-you’ll want to keep an eye out. (ABV: 8.5%, IBU: 35, SRM: 4, Format: 750 mL bottles and draft)

Bright yellow slightly cloudy pour, thin white head with notable lacing. Aroma of sweet flowers and wheaty yeast, but of clove and banana, rubber too; combined has a likeness to hotdogs. Soft carbonation, thin oily mouthfeel, finishes clean. Assertive spices and Belgian golden yeast blend uniquely, flavor has pepper, hint of banana, clove, rubber. Good peppery golden. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is a sparkling deep yellow glow, small head that retains nicely. Smell is a big yeasty front with citrus, oak, baking bread. Tasting reveals more citrus, balanced bitterness and a strong, cool mouthfeel. A long, pleasant, sweet and bready aftertaste.

W aromacie reśkie nuty owocowe, więcej białych owoców niż brzoskwini, przyprawowość, rasowy, a może właśnie podrasowany tripel. Smak troszkę niedomaga, wytrawnie, fenolowo, pieprzność i goździk, niezła soczystość jes i brzoskwinia i nieco agrestu. Piwo smaczne, ale jak na The Bruery to jest przeciętnie, brakuje "tego czegoś".

Bottle in cellar. Had at home in my big Rapp snifter. Pours a mild brown with an ample head. Aroma is Belgian sugars, candy, Belgian yeasts, apricot, plums, and earth. Taste is dark fruits first chased by the dark candy sugars, Belgian yeasts, and finishes slight bitter hoppy. Little grassy at the end but good. Medium body, not boozy at all. Well balanced. Enjoyable!

Brown color with tan head. Aroma is candied sugar, caramel malt, spicy yeasts. Some sweetness lying below. Taste is caramel, bananas and apricots (very Belgian), with that spicy fruity finish. Some caramel elements in there. Very good.

Type: 750ml (25.4 oz.) botle Glass: Karl Strauss 26th anniversary tulip glass From: Trader Joe’s in La Mesa (San Diego), Calif. Price: $7.99 Purchased: Nov. 19, 2015 Consumed: Nov. 19, 2015 Misc.: N/A Poured a yellow, golden, clear color with three fingers of fluffy, white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good sporadic, spiderweb lacing on the sides of the glass. Excellent amount of thick retention all the way down. (Sight - 4.25) Smelled candied Belgian spices, pear, green grapes, green apple, kiwi, grassy hops, honey, herbal hops, cleaning supplies (ammonia?), faint tropical notes (passion fruit?) and slight dry apricot. (Smell - 4.00) Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Got spicy Belgian notes, green apple, pear, honey, grassy hops, boozy candied sugar, peppery Citra rind and boozy, dry ammonia. (Taste - 3.50) Light-to-medium body. Oily texture. Lively-to-fizzy carbonation. Dry, boozy finish. (Feel - 3.50) Was a bit disappointed in this one, but glad I finally tried it. Probably overrated it a tad. just an OK Belgian Strong Pale Ale. (Overall - 3.75) 3.72 84 B
