Belgian-style ale, golden and hoppy. Not quite evil, yet not to be trusted, this Golden Ale is effervescent, dry, hoppy and crisp-you’ll want to keep an eye out. (ABV: 8.5%, IBU: 35, SRM: 4, Format: 750 mL bottles and draft)

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Resinous and spicy aroma, with peppery and piney notes. The flavor has resinous piney notes, fruity esters, and peppery notes. Good stuff.

From a 750ml bottle into a Victory snifter. Pours with a TON of fluffy white head. Little to no lacing but a tiny bit of foam on the top. Really beautiful golden hue. Just as a Belgian Golden should be. Aromas of alcohol, flowers and Tang. Mouthfeel is very moderate, if a bit over carbonated. Letting it sit for a while really helps out and brings out the flavor. Tastes of alcohol, funk, lemon, flowers, hops and chalk. A really solid beer. I like it and I’ll probably buy it again.

On tap at Naja’s. Hazy blonde. Some light pear esters and spicy hops on the nose. Light spicy palate with some sweet, pineapple/pear accents. Not bad, but not worth passing up a Duvel for or anything like that.

On tap at Vine Street brewpub. Clear brilliant gold. Beautiful aroma of candy sugar, pineapple juice and apricot, with some sweet Belgian yeast. Excellent. Smooth, rich, yeasty and complex. Starts sharp and bitter but quickly mellows into a sweet and malty brew. Vibrant fruity yeastiness as on the nose--apricot and a touch of pineapple. Ain’t no wrong in this brew!woody,

Tap. Fluffy, foamy white head on a clearer orangeish yellow with lots of tiny rising carbonation bubbles. Earthy hops and lots of yeastiness and light passion fruits in the aroma. Yeasty and a bit of bittersweet sour fruits with a touch of hay-like hop in the finish. Slick medium body with softer carbonation.

(bottle) Big fluffy white head atop a foggy golden body. Aroma of grain, yeast, banana, pear; mild hops, orange. Light bodied, very carbonaceous. Crips, refreshing citrus orange peel, yeast, grass and pine hops. Crips and light--makes me wish I were drinking this outside on a beautiful, sunny day.

Poured from 750, cloudy golden with slight hue of orange, huge white head. Fruity nose, little bready with floral hints. Hoppy for a belgian. Great aroma, taste was smooth, on the sweeter side. Nice lively, medium to full bodied. Thoroughly enjoyable beer.

It snells of citrusy hops with a bready ending. It pours a hazy golden body with a thick bubbly white head that leaves awesome lacing. It tastes of a bit bitter at first followed by a nice lingering sweetness. It is a medium bodied beer with a sticky texture and somewhat high on the carbonation level. Overall this is a beer I would drink again even with the $9 price tag.

This is what a hefeweizen would taste like if topped with a carton of Newman’s Own Lemonade. There is overwhelming acidity and citrus flavor bouncing off of the brew, and it sometimes feels welcoming and other times a little overstayed. A pint is bound to make you feel like you drank a gallon pureed lemon peel. Decent but not without some reward.

Lively, huge head, nice retention, hazy golden... fruity, lightly grassy hoppy, yeasty, little bit citrusy.... lively, fruity, dry finish, medium to medium full bodied, some grassy hops, some lightly citrus hops... lightest sweetness,
