Belgian-style ale, golden and hoppy. Not quite evil, yet not to be trusted, this Golden Ale is effervescent, dry, hoppy and crisp-you’ll want to keep an eye out. (ABV: 8.5%, IBU: 35, SRM: 4, Format: 750 mL bottles and draft)

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy warm golden with a classic fine lively Belgian effervescence and a thick white foamy head. Big hops with lemon aroma. Lively, bubbly body carries a bright, sharp-edged bitter initial flavor, balanced with salt. Overall a less heavy, less bready beer than many Belgians. Very likeable.

Flight at HopCat in Madison. Was very tart and crisp with a kick -- comparable to grapefruit juice with a little paint thinner! Was really unique and interesting, but I was grateful for the smaller portion!

Bottle at Oliver Twist. Pours gold with a thick white head. Aroma of yeast, pear, clove, spices and light hops. Yeast, pear, apple, orange, clove, mango, light floral hop flavors. Medium body and high carbonation.

750ml bottle from Tanakaya. Shared with Micah. Poured into a Duvel glass. Pours a hazy orange gold with a big soapy head that hangs around throughout. Aromas of orange, lemon, grapefruit and some resiny hops. Taste is more of the same with the lemon and sour orange really standing out. Soft carbonation with a nice dry finish. Lots of floral hops. Good stuff.

Ambar clara, turbia.

Aroma is your standard belgian yeast funk albeit a bit subtle, almost dilute. Nice murky pour with a frothy white head. Refreshing dry taste. Hop bitterness married well with yeast bitterness. Nice spicy finish.

750ml bottle, from Dutch’s. I suspect that this has 2 or more years of age on it. No legible date on the bottle. Clear golden orange color. Hazy with second pour. Active-looking bubbles of carbonation. Bigger off-white head, audibly fizzing to a thin layer, then a ring. Pretty big sour taste up front -- moderate to bigger sour, which I don’t think is intentional, but it’s actually tasting pretty good. Light to moderate sweet, light to moderate bitter. Nice lemony, kind of spicy aroma, bready malt. Peppery. Kind of oaky. Some apricot. Bit of vegetal. Biscuity. Surprisingly alright overall.. Mild bite to it, but it’s nice to sip on. Bigger body. Kind of soft, effervescent lighter carbonation. Mild slick finish. Mild roughness, with too big sips, and mild bite. Starts to drag a bit as I continue on, but overall, pretty interesting and not awful.

very good citrus aroma. If it's categorized as golden ale, I like more strong taste & strong alcohol.

Wonderous Belgian spicy yeast aroma. It all comes out so well with champgne like lively co2. Flavor is lemon powder and spicy mild coriander. This will creep up on you as the finish invites more consumption.
