COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After brewing one of our fruited sour ales, we found ourselves with a few too many leftover apricots in the fridge. Rather than starting a smoothie company, we decided to create this unique take on the popular Belgian-style golden ale. The addition of apricots strikes a lovely balance with our fruity house yeast, yielding a delightfully mishmishchieveous ale. Effervescent, delightfully fruity, yet surprisingly dry, this is a great beer for the upcoming, warm, Summer months.

750 ml bottle shared by urbancaver - thanks, Cam! Pours a hazy orange-gold with a finger of off-white head. Aroma of apricot, bready malts, funk, florals, cucumber, mild spice, and pineapple. The flavor is the same. Medium-bodied, with high carbonation and a dry, funky mouthfeel. Definitely not as fruity or tart as expected.

bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro. pours cloudy very pale golden with a very nice off-white head, good retention and lacing. dusty yet bright fresh apricots - ripened if not sweet ones, honey, pepper, spicy doughy and sweet maltiness, subtle floral and grassy notes. lively carbonation - tad too much, medium body - oily and heavy liquid, sweetish, lightly astringent and grassy-peppery finish. almost over the hill though. definitely fruity and tasty.

Pours a hazy golden with a medium-high white head that leaves great lacing. Nose is of tomato juice (sorry, I couldn’t shake that thought away and this was what I felt for the whole sample), black pepper and other fruits. Taste is also pretty fruity, nothing I could pinpoint exactly, and spicy. Body was light , carbonation moderately high. Overall this was OK but nothing outstanding.

Bottle (750 ml). From Marcus, thanks! Hazy yellow with a huge pillowy white head and little lacing. Aroma is quite fruity with apricots/peaches/mangos, sweetness notes and light alcohol presence. Taste is also quite fruit forward, the sweetness is too much present and there’s more alcohol than in the nore. Some spiciness too. Heavy body. Moderate carbonation. Fruity finish. It’s not disgusting, but the beer lack of everything... balance, drinkability, personality and the list goes on....

Bottle: Super dense, opaque sunshine yellow & lightly orange tinted with a chunky, porous, clunky beige & tangerine tinted head that fades to a chunky collar with subtle lacing left behind. Aroma of Belgian yeast, some sweaty Brett funk, moderate cotton, sweet apricot juice, & a touch of bready spice. Lots of Brett in the flavor... Woody, funky Brett with mild citrus, pineapple, & of course, apricot. Zesty, really sharp & super dry. A touch phenolic but not overpowering. Some white pepper. Bready yeast. Moderate floral zest & perfume notes leading into a finish of dry wood, brettanomyces, & faint apricot fruitiness. Super lofty, effervescent mouth feel. Was expecting to be let down, but this one was quite alright.

Bottle, thanks Kyle. Too much carbonation, lots of apricot. I guess I was expecting a sour, this is fruit and fizz. Ok but left me wanting more. Maybe the problem is that I opened this right after the new glarus peach.

Hazy deep golden in color... Aroma of brett, funk, grains, wheat, dried apricots... Flavor is dry and earthy, grainy effervescent mouthfeel with light notes of apricots throughout... Light apricot finish, dry Belgian yeast notes on palate... Nice ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy orange pour with a white head. The aroma has a lot of boozy apricot notes and not too much else. The flavor is more complex. I get some apricots, peaches, wheat and biscuit malt. The flavor is also very boozy and the beer has a ton of carbonation, which is my only fault. Medium mouthfeel.
