750ml Bottle from trade. Pours jet black. No head. Aroma of chocolate and sweet sticky booze. The coffee and cocoa cut down on the booziness of the beer and give a hint of balance. Amazingly drinkable for being nearly 20%, the sweetness of the beer as DIABEETUS as I would expect.

2013 Bottle: Pour is dark brown, with a modest khaki head that fades quickly - it moves to a feint ring, with a touch of spotting in this glass. Yeah. This one is boozy on the nose initial, with dominant cacoa presence ; nibs, cake, moving to caramel, sweet bread, and mild roast. The flavor profile reveals a bittering bite from the hop / booze - I guess I should have waited a bit longer to open this one. Oh well - caramelized sugar, a touch of bourbon, moving to vanilla barrel presence. The Roast / Coffee notes are modest in this one, or overpowered, somewhat. Itís sticky, itís robust, and its dominant cacoa / chocolate cake. Thereís a lingering alcohol burn at the finish line, along with the feeling of a desert beer.

Bottle as Mocha Wednesday, Batch 1 from trade, poured July 15, 2014. Pours dark murky brownish black with a very small khaki brown head on top that goes away quickly. Awesome chocolate and huge nutty coffee aroma, more nuttiness, caramel and molasses, brown sugar, toffee nuts, pralines, coffee, bourbon booze. Fantastic. Flavor is sweet caramel and brown sugar, nutty toffee, lots of lingering vanilla, some chocolate, light earthy coffee notes but very subdued on that front, bourbon and alcohol for sure but actually surprisingly smooth. Note nearly as sweet as Chocolate Rain for me. Comes off with some serious tiramisu flavor with extra booze, which is awesome. As with Grey Monday this really comes off like an English barleywine to me. There doesnít seem to be a lot of stout characteristic left here. Big rich body with lowish carbonation, smooth on the palate with light burn and plenty of warmth on the way down. Really nice variant. Deserves higher score but hurt a bit due to being a little ugly looking.

Sampled at a STL tasting - Pours reddish brown with no head. The aroma has lots of coffee, chocolate and good amount of green apple. It has a medium thick body that is very smooth and has light carbonation. The taste has lots of cocoa, roast, spice, cinnamon and lots of alcohol burn. The finish is mainly alcohol burn. This just had the alcohol too prevalent for my tastes.

Bottle @ a recent bottle share... Poured dark, near black with a thin head. Light carbonation and super thick moth feel. Like the rest of the Black Tuesday variants; quite sweet and fortified with a lot of alcohol heat. Tasted of a chocolate liqueur, toasted caramel/toffee sugars, and more booze

Outstanding! Super smooth. Rich flavor. Well balanced heat. Personally liked this better than Chocolate Rain.

Bottle of Mocha Wednesday generously shared by Dave. Aroma is roast coffee, sticky toffee, darker chocolate, and molasses. Pours engine oil black and thick with very dark brown lacing. Taste is sweet molasses, roasty coffee, chocolate, oak, toffee, and light bourbon. Big sticky mouthfeel which evenly distributes the delicious coffee and oak roast. This is a damn fine beer. Very grateful that I got to try it.

Bottle share at my place...thanks Jeff! Poured a jet black dirty motor oil in a small snifter. Black body with very minimal mocha head. Head gone fast and no lacing. The aroma is straight up coffee, cocoa nibs, dark chocolate, and slightly roasted malts. The taste was a great mix of the aromas with the cocoa nibs dominant, then coffee, vanilla and roasted malts. Sweet, but with a slight bitter finish. Creamy, thick mouth. Full body, oily. Finish is coffee and nibs. Very well done.

750 ml bottle poured into a mini snifter. Pours an inky black with no head. The aroma is sweet, fruity, roasty. The taste is sweet up front but moves to a roasty coffee bitterness. Thick, chewy mouthfeel. Low carbonation.
