COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This 2.08% ABV brew was a batch of Hottenroth that took an unexpected turn and did not sour. Fortunately the result was a delicious low-ABV wheat beer brewed with kumquats.

The pour is hazy golden yellow with a small head that dissolves fast. The nose is lemony tart but missing the lacto, big straw and some apple. The taste is ultra clean and crisp, fresh, body is light and finish is medium. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A light lemonade aroma. This is disappointing. Very little to the beer, some lemon flavors bud definitely missing stuff, especially a bit of sourness for such a low alcohol beer. Worst one I’ve had from here.

Tap. Pours clear yellow with a tiny white head and some lacing. Aroma is lemon and kumquat rind. Flavor is medium sweet and about the same and the aroma. Just a touch of lemony tartness. Light body. I am generally not a huge fan of strong zest notes in my beers, and this is no exception.

On tap at the tasting room. Gorgeous straw yellow hazy pour with almost no white head. Aroma is pine, a bit of lemon. Flavor is light, crisp, a little funky. Clean. Super light.

Draft at the Bruery. Slightly hazy pale yellow, with a white head. Cracker malt, lemon zest, lightly tart, and notes of sweet fruit (kumquat?). Very light and tasty, a nice thirst quencher.

Sample at Bruery Provisions. Hazy yellow pour with a thin and wispy white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, malt and wheat. Light-bodied with a lemony character and notes of bready malt and wheat. The finish is tangy lemons and lingers a bit. Decent overall.

Draft. Hazy straw beer with a whitish head. Lemon and very light tart/acidic aroma. Lemon and lime flavor with light grain. lighter bodied. Easy drinking. Lemon and lime lingers with light tartness (I know it didn’t sour, but it still comes across and lightly tart).
