dkachur (2318), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA May 10, 2009 750 mL bottle from Whole Foods Market Bowery in Manhattan. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a medium creamy head. Good head retention and fair lacing. Biscuity and bready aroma with citrus and light spice notes. Taste is bread, citrus, spice... primarily lavender but some others. Medium bodied. asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA May 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours murky pale golden, thin white head. Aroma is strong grainy smells, thick textured multigrain aroma, light citrus, mild exotic spiciness. Flavor has a good malt backbone, like doughy bread, very mild fruit notes, dryness, light lingering herbal bitterness on the finish. Simply awesome. Exactly what a witbier can and should be. kkearn (994), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 8, 2009 750mL bottle, from Capone’s (Norristown, PA). Pours hazy yellow, capped with a huge white head that dissipates gradually. Aroma is perfumey, with flowers, potpourri spice, lemon and a little white pepper. Lemon hits the palate first, and is soon joined by a ton of spice, coriander and some wheat. Very floral finish, in fact too floral for me. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA May 6, 2009 750 ml bottle from BevMo (E. Tucson) - Pours a hazy straw color with a two finger thick white head. Lively carbonation. Aroma is spicy esters and light citrus. Also has a hint of soap in there. Flavor is somewhat bitter and spicy. Palate is quite dry. Light to medium body. To be honest, this beer was a bit of a let down. Naven (864), Poway, California, USA May 3, 2009 Best Wit I have ever had. Lovely, yellow hazy pour. Aroma of spices and yeast. Flavor is smooth and extremely refreshing. I didn’t really pick up the Lavender, but the Corriander and Orange Peel were very nice. My only complaint is that this was a little over carbonated. tokyogoat (505), San Diego, California, USA May 3, 2009
750ml bottle poured into tulip
Appearance was fine. light straw yellow with a huge fluffy head.
But jesus christ it tastes like sucking on potpourri.
First sip I was disgusted and read the bottle closer.
I saw there was Lavender and realized that’s why it tasted like I just chewed on a dryer sheet.
I took another sip and just about gagged. There is no subtlety or creativeness to this beer’s flavor.
This is the second Bruery beer i’ve bought that I had to throw away.

Firemoose15 (540), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 28, 2009 My first offering from these folks. Bottle. Aroma of orange peel, pepper and lavender hint of wheatiness. Poured a yellowish hazen gold foamy white head. Flavor was interestingly spicy and flowery with a citric twist, lemony. Palate I liked, very full for such a light colored brew. Clean finishing just a touch of spices. Overall, I liked it, still kinda intrigued by it all. 944play (64), Santa Rosa, California, USA Apr 24, 2009 750ml in weizen glass. Big sudsy head on hazy gold. Aroma of dust, chlorine, and green leaves. Chlorophenol drainpour.
