mpersinger (176), , California, USA Mar 17, 2009 Thanks bradlyc77 for sharing this bright yellow chill hazy pour with pepery/ lemon zest aroma and white film of bubbles. The brew has liight body, and flavor of white pepper, yeast and mineral. Taste turns to lemony with a Poprocks finish. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Mar 16, 2009 EBF Session 1. Hazy blonde in color. Nice well retaining head. Aroma of lavender, coriander, some citrus, some fresh musty belgian yeast. Taste has a really nice amount of spice- it’s there but not overdone. Also has some bright belgian yeast, slightly musty/basement, lightly sweet with a dry, slightly hoppy finish. Really nice take on a wit beerbill (1920), Laurel, New York, USA Mar 13, 2009 750 ml bottle courtesy of a trade with dirtymartini. Pours a slightly hazed gold with a massive white head that lasted until mid-glass and left partial lace. Very pleasant floral aroma with notes of orange and spice. I know this is brewed with lavender, however, it reminded much more of African Violets than anything else. The flavor is equally lovely with orange, coriander and yeast more well represented than in the aroma, along with the floral component. Medium-full bodied while at the same time lively on the palate. Very nice. jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Mar 11, 2009 Bottle split with PWN3D. Pours hazy orange. Aroma is spicy and weird - bready too. Taste is citrus, wheat, lavender of course, and some strange spice. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 10, 2009 Pours hazy deep gold with 3-finger white head that is very clingy. Nose is spicy florals, limey citrus. Tastes floral, dry, spicy, limey, with some white peppery and coriander notes adding to the limey citrus. The body is fizzy, complex, and gives hints of champagny and white grapes as it warms. A very good wit with a Belgian flair. jeremytoni (1072), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Mar 8, 2009 From a bottle poured a hazy light golden color with a big head. Nice spicy citrus flavor with a quick finish. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Mar 1, 2009 Draft at the brewery. Light yellow, much haziness. Decent head. Wheat aromas and flavors. Some spice on the finish. Pretty good stuff. puzzl (2583), New York, New York, USA Mar 1, 2009 Tap at RnH. Pale cloudy pour with no head at all. Black olive and grains show up in the aroma. Wheaty and oatmeal flavor, with an extract and grainy finish. Dry but not brett dry, it doesn’t have that farmhouse bite to it. Good beer, but with what these guys are capable of I expected a little more.
