The aroma is pure orange zest, coriander, wheat husk and yeasty esters. The nose did start getting too floral as it warms. The taste is twangy fruit, moderate spice and light white wheat. Nothing too complex but still tasty. The mouth feel aggressive and too lively which gets slightly in the way of enjoying the flavors IMO. Burp! The oat addition did not stand a chance of adding body with all this carbonation. Overall a fine Witbier that would be even better if not for the bottle conditioning gone awry. aplusbreaks (330), , Colorado, USA

Huge white head dissipates into a small foamy head. Aromas of light citrus, pear, flowers ( I guess this is the lavender), honey and coriander. Flavors of sweet... something? Spices and some mellow yeasty flavors as well. Palate is bubbly and very carbonated. Thanks again Jake. BlackForestCO (820), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Bottle from NYbeer, thanks Steven. Poured a clear golden-yellow color with a thick white head that quickly receded to a layer. Aroma of lemon zest and orange peel, soft pear, spices (pepper and coriander), light earthy barnyard, and some dusty yeast. Crisp, lightly tart entry with some orange and lemon peel complimented by a light flowery sweetness transitions into a moderate spicy, dry wheatiness that ends with some earthy yeastiness. High carbonation, almost a bit too much, as it had the potential to overpower light nuances in the flavor. Still a very solid wit. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Nose is light but appropriate. Flavor is bright, lively and well balanced. Full flavored, with an excellent body that elevates flavors of orange peel, coriander and summer fruit. Excellent white ale. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA

Standard yeasty lemony nose. Flavor of the same, rather deep, just not memorable. iowaherkeye (1852), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2008 750mL bottle, no date from the Bottle Barn. Pours a golden straw with a 1 1/2 finger bone white head, pretty good retention and effervescence. Big ol nose of lemon, lavender, and soap. There is some underlying wheat and Belgian yeast. Flavor is more tart and lemony than I had expected, and the soapy notes are gone. I must be sucking a bit from lack of rating, because I did not pick out the note TheEpeeist said was ginger, and is plainly there. Dry finish with low bitterness and light alcohol. High carbonation with a light to medium body. Very good witbier--it loosely reminds me of Marks (FirmButtstone) chamomile wit.
