750ml bottle. Part of the society membership... Pours a dark mahogany, just barely transparent but lightly so, lesser intense, and topped with a thin level of off-white head... Aroma of dark currants, cocoa, and dark fruit, black cherry aspects with some semi-sharp acidic vinegar notes to go alongside the aforementioned... Flavors are more of the same with a dark fruit acidic aspects, fig, raisiny, and just a light guava note which adds a tart fruit note. Medium bodied with a semi-effervescent mouthfeel.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 peteinSD (958) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Bottle. Dark brown pour with a nice froth of light tan foam that lingers for quite some time. Aroma is sour, light roast, cherry, and course grain. I dno not smell guave or any tropical notes. Taste is intense, thick and sharp sour and tart with dark fruit (perhaps currants), grain, and what seems like light roast in the malt. Smooth, coating and yet also precise lingering mouthfeel. Very cohesive and enjoyable dark sour. Great beer from the Bruery.
