3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 burgy (401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - JUN 7, 2013
I dunno about all these sour beers... They seem to all taste the same to me! This is good but more of the same just more balanced. I definitely don’t find any musty faults in this which is nice lots of wine tannins in this.

Bought a 750 ml locally. Appearance was darker than I expected and not much head to speak of. The smell was strong sour. Taste was puckering at first, then mellowed after a few sips. After all that, really liked it. Not the best I’ve had, but very good. Would certainly buy again.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gr0ve (2040) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 23, 2013
750 ml bottle at Olympen. Dark brown and crystal clear. Vinegary aroma. Crisp acidic sour nose. Notes of bread, toffee and grapes. Rich malty flavours balanced by a strong acidity. Well balanced though. A little too much alcohol perhaps, but overall a really nice flemish red ale.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 PriorL (309) - BELGIUM - MAY 19, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2013 75cl bottle at home. Bought at ’Geers’.
Appearance: little to no head, dark red beer.
Nose: sour, tart, red fruits, some ’coulis’ even, rather fruity in general but with a good sour nose to balance.
Taste: a long lasting sourness, though combined with fruity notes and quite some alcohol noticeable. The beer is somewhat sticky around your mouth and reminded me of a ’coulis’ in a way.
Altogether, amazing beer, very comparable to a Rodenbach Vintage!
