Thanks to eaglefan538 for sharing. Tremendous woody aroma. Mouth puckering sourness. Extremely tart with noticeable wood and dry fruit. Dry finish. Good, but definitely a sipper.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2013 75cl bottle at home. Bought at ’Geers’. Appearance: little to no head, dark red beer. Nose: sour, tart, red fruits, some ’coulis’ even, rather fruity in general but with a good sour nose to balance. Taste: a long lasting sourness, though combined with fruity notes and quite some alcohol noticeable. The beer is somewhat sticky around your mouth and reminded me of a ’coulis’ in a way. Altogether, amazing beer, very comparable to a Rodenbach Vintage!

9/V/13 - 75cl bottle from Healthy Spirits (SF, CA) @ Klaas’ place - BB: n/a (2013-450) Thanks to Mathieu P. for bringing over the bottle!

Note: just a few weeks/months after I had received this bottle, I noticed my local beer shop (Geers) was selling this. What are the odds? :p

Clear red brown beer, small beige to brown head, unstable, dissipates immediately. Aroma: sour, red berries, lactobacillus, bit woody. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, red berries, woody, sour green apples, bit lemony. Aftertaste: sour, lots of green apples, some vinegar, lemony, bitter grape skin (tannins?), woody, leather. Nice, but I wouldn’t make this a 98 on RB. I guess Americans are just crazy about anything sour, right?

Glowing copper red body, tiny head. Sour funk, fermenting fruits, rough. Fairly sour yet fruity taste. Well aged, but the sourness dominates and the malts can only barely keep up. Would have liked a bigger body on this one. (ZeeBra)

Bottle courtesy of TooManyBeers. Sour vinous cherry/plum, mild basement funk, oak, and leather aroma. Deep chestnut with a small beige head. Sour cherry, spicy vinous oak, light brown sugar, and earthy funk flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation, finishes slightly dry. Very nice.
