Bottle. Thanks to Smokepot23 for the hookup! Pours a deep mildly hazy brown color. Minimal to no head. Flavor is rich yeasty malts, banana bread, ripe plums and pears, yeasty esters. Richly flavored, full bodied. Lingering caramel finish. Warm alcohol notes to finish. Solid.

Pours reddish brown with yellow highlights. Aroma of brown sugar, and....cough medicine? Tastes of brown sugar, toffee, pears, apples, maple, and a certain pokey weird fruit thing....cough drops, maybe. Full and creamy body, soft carbonation. I wanted to love this, but it has that slight medicinal flaw that keeps coming out. Mostly good.

Bottle from South Bay Drugs and Liquor. Bold and strong delivery of malt along with a presence of spicy yeast and alcohol. Beer is a dense color of mahogany that is not very visible through. Small sign of head forms but ends up as an o-ring shape. Extreme notes of sweetness and sugary malt with a twist of Belgian spiced yeast really makes this quadrupel an expieremental drink. One piece of advice though, maybe share a bottle of this with someone since its a heavy hitter and not easy to consume an entire bottle to yourself.

I don’t get a strong aroma at first, but after the first taste, it’s: wow. Maple syrup. Lots of sweetness. Apple. Fruit in general. Very interesting. I like what they are doing with the style. Alcohol well hidden.

Cloudy copper color no head. Aroma has a lot of booze with some sweetness. Flavor is a sticky sweet boozy bomb with faint fruit sweetness, some caramel and toffee cream.

750mL bottle from Bottle Barn. Clear garnet brown with a one finger beige yellow head. I’m disappointed--usually The Bruery has ten foot tall overcarbonated beers! An exaggeration, but whatever. The head slowly faded to a thick film and thicker ring. Aroma has lots of Belgian yeast, raisins, and figs, as well as plenty of blackstrap molasses, bananas and pears. Pretty sweet thus far. Flavor had some slightly unripe and tart pears with a pretty good amount of alcohol that kept me from being pissed at the sweetness of this beer, though I picked up on more caramel malts as well. That said, still pretty sweet. The finish is semi-dry and dusty with bitterness peaking around a 2. Low carbonation with a body slightly thin for its strength. overall, a pretty good beer, though I like Saison Rue the best.

Courtesy of fishingnet. Thanks Ben. It pours amber with a bit of haze and copper edges to go along with a thin tan head. The aroma is big and sticky with apple and pear sweetness, malt sweetness and some booze at the end. The taste is full on sweetness from pears and ripe red sugary slippery apples. By midway a layer of malt sweetness comes to the surface adding to the medley of sweet goodness. Nice drinking brew considering the big bold sweetness going on here.

#13 Bottle. [Papso Shady blind Tasting 2009] Thanks to Eric for this amazing trade!!! Small bubbly beige head that was quickly goon. Spare display of lacework. Cloudy light dark amber color. Aroma of dried fruit, yeast, molasses, mild toasted malt, vinous, alcohol warming. Full bodied with a soft carbonation and mild alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet flavor. Lingering fruity and malty finish. Blind tasting, but this could be a Quard. 7 / 3 / 8 / 4 / 16 = 3.8 (I guess it was a Quard)
