750-ml bottle. Very floral, herbal aroma with a hint of lavender and yeasty lemon zest. Pours a slightly murky light orange with a fizzy head (very effervescent). Extremely fruity and floral taste with light lime, sugary lemon peel, caramel, some potpourri, wet oak, zesty Belgian yeast tones, and cedar chips. Prickly, carbonated mouthfeel at first before a smooth, refined finish.

A golden, cloudy, , thick beer. Tastes better than it looks and smells. No complaints here.

Bottle from Kan/Drew. Thanks! Pours a deep gold with awhite head. Lightly hazy. Nose is hoppy and grassy. Barrel is subdued overall, though noted vanilla here. Faint tart notes come through as well. On tasting, medium bitternss, rich malty notes and sweet with a dry finish. It’s basically a big ass blond doppelbock on wood. Curious, to say the least.

Bottle... Poured golden with a nice forming head. An unassuming Maibock that hit the spot. Earthy, low bitterness, some bready malt sweetness and wood undertones. The oak almost lent to an herbal ceder-like character. Pretty nice. Paired well with our meal.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a golden color with a white head. The aroma has a lot going on. I get some oak and vanilla notes, as well as some biscuit malt and a little bit of grass. The flavor is more complex. I still get the oak and vanilla notes from the barrel aging, but they are complimented by some biscuit malt and grass and earth from the hops. There is also a good bit of alcohol. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

hopscotch (9038) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Bottle... Hazy golden lager with a small, fizzy, white head. The bouquet provides apricot, honey, oak and a whisper of vanilla. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor is boozy, fruity and loaded with toffee. There’s medium bitterness here as well. Finishes fruity, moderately bitter and a touch hot. Bottle generously provided by giarcsr!
