Garnet red with a thick creamy off white head. Complex aroma of Ginger orange bread caramel and vanilla. Taste similar but out of whack. Really bitter followed by cloying sweetness followed by really bitter.

Cottony In taste with a good hop aroma. Not really special. Average at best barrel comes to front with cotton. Fading head.

Draft. Brown pour with tan head. Some light malt and hop tones, not overly boozy. Not a big bw fan but this is ok.

Bottle shared, poured a deep mahogany color with aromas of brown sugar, caramel, hops, and some pine. Flavors were citrus dipped in caramel, with a decent amount of hops.

Tap at the brewpub. Murky brown amber pour with a huge foamy light beige head. Caramel sweetness and pine/citrus hop aroma. Full palate. Sweet caramel sugary taste with some hops to cut it a bit.

Pours clear brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel, and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the taproom. A hazy dark amber beer with a small beige head. Quite pine aroma, oranges too. A bit much alcohol, and some malt scents. Caramel notes. The flavor is very bitter, with alcohol warmth, ful body and a fine carbonation. Caramel in the back, pin cones and some orange peel up front. Really long, really bitter finish. Too warming this one, and unbalanced, still nice. 130811

On tap at The Bruery. Pours murky brown with an off white head. Aroma of alcohol, malt, caramel, some dried fruits and floral hoops w. Flavor is sweet and malty with some warming alcohol, pungent hops, caramel and toasted malt. Medium body, average carbonation.

A small off white head on a dark brown body. A nicely hoppy aroma of pine and grapefruit with a touch of dark malt and brown sugar. A much more barleywine like flavor with notes of molasses, pine, pepper, and mustard. Medium thick body, moderately carbonation, and a sweet finish. Nicely done, fairly hoppy, but definitely not a DIPA, there is a lot of dark sugar and rich, spicy character that clearly makes this a barleywine.

Tap. Yep, The Bruery officially brews a DIPA! Pours cloudy hazel, medium tan creamy head, nice lacing. Aroma is all citrus and pine resin - hops galore. The flavor is the same, perhaps a light caramel backing but surprisingly little malt presence given the color. This beer highlights the hops, and does it well. Light sweet, quite bitter, resinous. Medium body, but a resinous oily mouthfeel.

On tap; not a huge fan of the style yet. Color was hazy brown. Alot of alcohol and dark fruit in the aroma; fig? Noted that this was the type of beer Josh would like.
