Sampled at the DC Local Tasting a 750ml bottle pours a hazy, bright yellow with some creamy, white head. The nose has a ton of truffle, smells like buttered popcorn too, herbal, very earthy, a little funky. Flavor has more truffle, fungus, sweet, butter poaches mushroom, liught spice. Medium bodied, buttery finish. Very unique.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 GT2 (5664) - Riverslime, California, USA - JAN 9, 2012
750mL thanks to nmann08. Huge white head eruption on a muddier, cloudy light golden. Thick lace. Nose is huge buttered popcorn/diacetyl. Carbonation on the palate is effervescent. Taste is odd with big celery character, diacetyl, and apple along with home brewing flaws like heavy minerals and odd infecting bacteria. Tart lemon finish. Moderate salt character. Less salty than Veritas 009. Very weird. Did not enjoy this.

Bottle, out of my Maudite glass. Shared with Cole and TheHulk, while we watched Hobo with a Shotgun. Great movie. Pours clear yellow; thick white head, great lacing. Nose is sweet yeast/cold cream, rosewater, grain, truffles, some Champagne-like notes here too... Flavours of coriander, earth, some real salty notes here, but overall a bit bland.

pale gold, small bubbled see through cap with light lacing. tangy citrus, heavy diacetyl. Flavor is a bit salty, citrus at front, mid is diacrtyl and biscuit, back is mineral light diacetyl. Spritzy carb draws attention to diacetyl. Yuck. Oh it’s bruery

Weird salty slightly sour smell. Toasty sour lemon mud... I don’t really know how to describe this beer so I’m just writing random words.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 kbutler1 (1261) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Bottle & Draft. I remember the first time I had this at the Bruery Reserve party and I thought it did such a great job of cutting and cleaning the pallet after drinking so many rich, dark beers. I didn’t rate it as I was a little tipsy so here goes with a bottle. Pours a slight cloudy straw yellow color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is an odd mixture of earth and salt, like sort of being on a farm that is right by the ocean. Medium mouthfeel. The saltiness hits you right away and is unlike any other beer I have had before. Slightly wheaty. Overall, an interesting beer.
