COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rueuze is our take on the traditional Belgian-style blend of lambics of different ages.  We carefully select a number of oak barrels from our warehouse that have been aging our sour blonde ale. this is one complex beer.  Notes of hay, barnyard funk, apricots, and even olives play wonderfully with the balanced acidity.

Golden color with little to no head. Aroma is musty and slightly reminiscent of spoiled apple juice. Flavor is incredibly tart with notes of apricot. Might be I’m just not a fan of the style, but this doesn’t work for me.

Cloudy yellow, small but lively head. Tart and funky aroma, some slight oak notes. Very tart. A bit too harsh to be among the best but interesting and good nonetheless.

Bottle at the share. Snifter. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. No lacing or rings. The aroma is tart lemon, lime, funky yeasts and white grapes fermented. The taste is bright tart citrus especially lemons and limes, barrel aging softened the harshness so you get that smooth balance of tart fruits and funky Belgian yeasts. Solid carbonation makes it bright and refreshing. Very tasty.

750ml bottle pours cloudy dark orange with 2 finger head. Nose is dry old attic wood, funky hay, apple, stonefruit, light toasted bread crust, old books left in a crawlspace. Taste is tart woody juicy lime, lemon, tangerine, golden apple, dusty old wood, barrel, funky oak, toasted oats. Acidity level is pretty nicely balanced. Finish is dry juicy citrus fruit and stonefruit, tart funky wood, hay.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/10/2013. Pours slightly hazy bright gold color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tart lemon peel, green apple, white wine, vinegar, wet hay, herbal, straw, grass, leather, musty funk, oak, pepper, cracker, light wheat, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky yeast, oak, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big tart lemon peel, green apple, white wine, vinegar, wet hay, herbal, straw, grass, musty funk, leather, oak, pepper, cracker, wheat, and yeast/oak earthiness. Good amount of fruity/vinegar acidic tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart lemon peel, green apple, white wine, vinegar, wet hay, herbal, straw, grass, musty funk, leather, oak, pepper, wheat, cracker, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/funky yeast, oak, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great crisp malt/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately acidic, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome gueuze style. All around great complexity and balance of fruity/funky yeast, oak, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on with the balanced acidity. A highly enjoyable offering.

Lasting thin white foamy head atop a clear, highly carbonated deep amber body. Nose is tart, tinny with faint green apple. Nice sour flavour. Some battery acid, lemon and vinegar. I actually quite like this. Purchased at Metro Liquors University Heights.

Pours a golden slightly unclear beer with a good white. Smells sour, candy. Tastes tarted, artificial, heavy sour. Average carbo, thin body and a sticky texture.

Bottle. Pours a golden blond with creamy white head and nice lacing. Funky barnyard aroma of hay, basement and horseblanket along with some vinegar. Lemon tartness, cheese and white fruits. Unfortunately, taste is mostly dominated but acetic sourness. It does drinks well though and not far off from the traditional style if it weren’t for the acetone.
