Rueuze is our take on the traditional Belgian-style blend of lambics of different ages.  We carefully select a number of oak barrels from our warehouse that have been aging our sour blonde ale. this is one complex beer.  Notes of hay, barnyard funk, apricots, and even olives play wonderfully with the balanced acidity.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy bright amber gold with no head.

Aroma: Peach, lemon, funk, wet basement.

Taste: Spicy tart yeast,lemon/citric acidity, tanins. Fairly sour finish.

Mouthfeel: Puckering. Full bodied. Lively carbonation.

Overall: Pretty tasty, a bit on the acidic side for my gueuze tastes, perhaps I am extra sensitive to that? I wish I had a case to age over 5-6 years, as this beer seems to be perfect for that type of enjoyment. Hopefully this beer is kept in rotation for years to come.

Draft pour at malt and vine. Pours a lemon yellow color with a fading foam head. Mild yeast and citrus fruit aroma. Sour before it even hits your tongue, which I love. Extreme tart flavor with a sweetening finish. Interesting take on the style. Loved this beer.

2013- Pours a hazy yellow with a small head. Aroma, lemon, wine. If you can smell tartness this is it. Tastes like a Sweet Tart without the flavor, just tart. A little sour but not bad. The tartness makes my nose twitch. Overall its a liquid Sweet tart to bad they don’t have the same flavors.

On tap at Bangers and Lace. Hazy orange color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of funky fruit, apple, oak and yeast. Medium body with flavors of funky citrus, yeast and wood. The finish is moderately sour with a tart apple aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pours hazy lemon yellow with very thin white head. Nose sour, oak, light funk, hint of powder. Taste tart sour up front, then some nice citrus fruits. Late palate some tannin. Tart finish. Would be better with more carbonation.

750 mL bottle with some age on it, opened 11/6/14. Well this just snapped one of my bottle openers, so hopefully it’s good. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of pepper, funk, grapes, plum, hints of caramel. The taste is grapes, caramel, citrus, pepper, funk, wood. Medium bodied, bright lingering tartness. Solid.
