COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rueuze is our take on the traditional Belgian-style blend of lambics of different ages.  We carefully select a number of oak barrels from our warehouse that have been aging our sour blonde ale. this is one complex beer.  Notes of hay, barnyard funk, apricots, and even olives play wonderfully with the balanced acidity.

Appearance is murky yellow in color with minimal lacing as the carbonation is nearly non-existent. Strike one for a "gueuze-style ale". Little to no head and zero lacing. Aroma has a bit of citrus, in the form of lemon/lime but this is quickly squashed by the abundance of acetic acid and its dominance on the nose. Taste follows suit. It’s quite tart but not in a complex, funky, traditional gueuze style way, more in a "oops I just squirted vinegar in my mouth" kinda way. Mouthfeel has an unusual oily papery feel. That’s the best way I can describe it. Nothing about this is "gueuze-style" in any way other than it was a blend of 3 different barrels. This was a drain pour. One of very few in the past several years (the last one was also a Bruery beer). Overall, I was less than impressed with this beer or the price tag it demanded. This is yet another overrated, sad failure of a beer from Bruery. They, as of this writing, will no longer be getting any of my business.

Bottle. Good aroma, sour, oak, fruity, dried apricot, kind of see why they say olive. Clean golden orange color ok head that faded quickly to nothing, no lace. medium sourness in flavor. Medium body, light creamy mouthfeel, dry finish. Pretty nice. Flavor my favorite part. Dry sour finish nice too.

Bottle shared at a sour tasting at Noam’s office. Hazy golden with a white head. Funky aroma, oaky, lemony, with some barnyard, a bit of sweat and lots of fruits. Sour flavor, fruity, oaky, kinda citric, with moderate funk. Medium-bodied. Very good.

In New York with my sister. Pours light cloudy golden. Aroma is smooth tart sour funk. Medium to low acidity; which is unusual, for a Bruery sour. Some light fruits, apple. Taste is gueuze tang, sour and smooth, medium acidity. The beer is sour, but still has some complex tart notes that make it a very nice sipping beer.

2013 bottle pours a slightly hazy mostly clear orange/golden with a small white head. Aroma is a sweet mellow tart funk, citrus lemon. Taste of tart lemon, white pepper spice, oak, Brett, with heavy lacto yogurt on the finish. Bright refreshing. Not as complex as many a Gueuze, not worth aging IMO really nice as is right now.

March 22, 2014 - on tap at Bruery tasting room. Clear golden pour with limited head. Aroma was sour fruit and yeast. Taste was consistent with aroma and also had some nice wood. Very balanced and easy to drink.

Yellowish orange body with briskly receding white head. Aroma is strange definitely has that "horse blanket" nose. Flavor is good would like a bit more complexity but that's just because I love their other sours so much. Good not great ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Delicious sour beer, not unbearable. Nice hazy golden colour. Pours with very little head. Satisfied my want for sour beer. Would have again for a special occasion.

Bottle. Hazy gold pour with a medium thick white head. Nose is some sour apple, funk, some sweetness. Taste is sour apple funk, bitter fruit rinds. Nice and sour, lots of carbonation.

On tap at the Bruery. It pours golden with a small white head. The aroma is potent moldy, funky grapefruit with a little vinegar. The flavor is pleasantly sour with a touch of vinegar and funk. Not too harsh at all. Pleasant, but not too complex.

Pours a clear gold with a white head and lacing. It has a funky aroma with some grape, stone fruit, and some must. The flavor is tart fruit up front with a sour, slightly sweet finish over a medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
