4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
The aftertaste and flavors that sit on the tongue are great. Initial coffee flavor followed by a subdued brett and sour brown. This beer has really got me thinking. Sour on the nose. Toasty, caramel, chocolate. Delicious. Head is tiny bubbles that stay and fade into a cocoa-red body. With all the crap that is out there it is hard to see how someone could knock this. I think it’s great. To sum it up a nice sour brown rye. Sex in a bottle! Just a little too sweet.

75 cl. bottle @ Delirium Hoppy Loft \ shared \ a birthday present from Michiel – thx a lot \ The Bruery is one of the many American breweries that I have been dying to try in order to see whether they really are as mind-blowing good as the American beer geeks are claiming that they are & I must say that I was anything but disappointed by this one & if this one of their less impressive offering, wow \ Pours a slightly dark brown, slightly rye-like colour with a very small tanned head \ Smell is delicious sweet malt, plenty of pumpernickel bread & delicious blueberries \ Taste is malt heavy, amazing dark, black & pumpernickel bread flavours, spicey ryes, lots of yummy rye which especially comes forward in the aftertaste, hint of yeast, touch of caramelised sugar & delicious berries (slightly less blueberry here than in the smell but slightly more red berries) \ Oily, smooth body, quite a bit of carbonation but combined with the rye body & fine bubbles that works just great \ A beer for those who adore the taste of all kinds of bread

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This beer has a great light brown color. The only problem with its look is that it takes about 15 minutes for the beer to stop foaming. It has a coffee like taste with a hint of caramel

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Aroma is rye bread, nuttiness, earthiness, malts, yeast and a good spiciness. The flavor is spicy rye, a good hint of bananas, tart fruit/mild sour undertones, malts and a lingering, mildly alcoholic finish.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
pours pretty deep brown with a small off white head that sticks quite resiliently to the side of the glass. nose is pungent, earthy, quite suprisingly fruity as well, notes of rye, and bread definitely there. but also a lot of fruit which i find a bit suprising in the good way. taste is very complex, very light on the palate with good fizzy carbonation, slightly smokey taste, with some subtle grape, vinous undertones. like smoked or roasted rye malt, butterscotch, and a nice subtle sourness. Im lovin this beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Smells very complex... Chocolate, golden, and some hops in there too. Mouth feel is rather lighter than I expected. Some nice nutty, chocolaty notes in there without being too sweet. Plenty of fresh grain flavor as well, I feel like I am getting my daily allowance of fiber! Finshes roasty and somewhat hoppy, but not over powering. Overall: huge points for being very complex, at the same time light, but too carbonated to warrant a higher rating. If the carbonation drops out after some aging, this beer would be more like a 4.7

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
750ml bottle. really thick appearance pouring into the glass. head is insanely huge, which was expected from this bruery. the body is murky brown with lots of fine bubbles. strong aroma of nuts, almond extract, burnt caramel, toast and other assorted brown things...except poop. flavor is the same with a little of the sharp, bitter rye showing up. the palate is full and extremely carbonated. a really awesome, flavorful brown ale. just a bit too carbonated for me palatewise.

This is a liquid rye bread or something like a brown ale with sour hints. sourdough, roasted malts and rye in nose and a very long aftertaste.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours deep red-brown with a thin white halo. Aroma-fruity esters, dense malt, some kind of (hard to pinpoint) dark fruit. Complex aroma. Taste- dark chocolate, rye, dust, alcohol. Very slight tang in the end. Medium body.
