3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a nice hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Lots of brett funk on the nose, nice lemony and grassy notes, some light fruit like pear and apple, and slightly spicy. Nice rustic and barnyardy taste, spicy wet grass, funky brett, lemony, and a touch of citrus hops. Nice and lightish, but still flavorful and an interesting combination of flavors.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The Bruery Saison de Lente has an extremely thick, fluffy, white head, a somewhat hazy, quite bubbly, yellow-gold appearance, and heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is full and pungent- spicy, sweet bread, yeast, pepper, other spices, and sweetness. Taste is the same, with a nice, rounding hop bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is light to medium and a bit slick, and The Bruery Saison de Lente finishes semi-dry, easy going, mellow, and delicious. RJT

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Aw Shucks, growler fill. Pours golden with a hint of copper, decent head. Aroma is faintly grainy, some spice, and some floral hops. Flavor is a match. The brett doesn’t come screaming through at all, and everything is nicely balanced. A very nice saison. The spouse liked this one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy golden pour with white head. Big yeast aromas with lots of funky saison going on. Flavor is malty with plenty of yeast, barnyard funk, and slight tart from the brett., Decent brew and easy to drink.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nose is Belgian yeast, lemongrass, pineapple, tropical fruit. Taste is Belgian yeast, saison funk, tropical fruits, definitely a tart note from the Brett, especially on the finish. Very effervescent and bubbly. A bit dry on the finish. Interesting, not bad.

It’s good enough to drink. It passes the test. Would I drink it again? If someone else offered me some, yes. I might buy it again too. And then?

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A saison that doesn’t taste like a spice rack fell into the boil. Smooth without compromising complexity. A good beer that pairs well with marinated carne asada or caprese.

Pours a thin head on a hazy golden colored body.

The texture is crisp but light body.
A nice and drinkable saison.
