3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
75 cl bottle @ home (the most ridiculous gusher I’ve ever seen – there was beer all over the kitchen). Pours hazy golden with some sediment and a large head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour is yeast, citrus, spices, and brett – with a dry finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle share at the Syb Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Orange copper pour into a small snifter. Small white head. Aroma of fruits, leather, brett and hay. Taste similar with a unique tartness to a saison. Wasn’t expecting this. Tart finish and on the palette. Loved it!!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Gushing from the bottle, showing considerable carbonantion and dense lacing, it is an appealing hazy medium intense orange copper. Aromas of medium + intensity indicate a malty sweetness with spices, fruits and dried fruit.
Medium dry on the palate with a lingering sweetness, the carbonation contributes only a discrete acidic impression to a body of medium + density and a near high alcohol presence. A medium + flavour intensity with dominant dried fruit and sweet spice characteristics, not apparently offering any significant contribution of its advertised brett funk. Creamy mouthfeel and a medium + lingering finish.
A good quality beer but somewhat imbalanced densely sweet for my taste.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/27/2013. Pours moderately hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pear, peach, pineapple, grape, apple, pepper, clove, hay, grass, herbal, candi sugar, rye, bread, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, Brett, and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big pear, peach, grape, apple, pepper, clove, herbal, candi sugar, bread, rye, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, pepper, clove, candi sugar, bread, rye, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast flavors with moderate male balance; with a good sweetness/spiciness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately slick, smooth, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent saison style. All around great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 or 25.4 oz. bottle purchased in July 2012 and aged for over a year. Consumed on 9-27-13. Sweet, floral, fruity, sour aroma features candy sugar, crabapple, lemon, and orange scents. Also rhubarb, clay, and cinnamon and clove spices. Complex, strong, and very enjoyable smell. Pours a rich, deep, bright goold. Highly effervescent. Moderate to large amount of fluffy, jiggly, nearly white head. Looks cool: Slightly orange. The flavor is like the aroma but weaker. More obvious bitterness in the flavor than in the aroma. Caramel, apple, and crabapple-flavored carob candy flavors. Sweetly astringent. Vanilla and lemon taste elements. Not as flavorful as it should be. Frothy, lively, soft, and fluffy in the palate. Medium body. Dirt-bitter aftertaste, but it is a light one. Palate effects are a little too extreme. Saison Rue looks and smells great, but, unfortunately, the flavor and mouthfeel are mediocre.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle. Clear golden amber with a dense off white head and some lacing. Aroma is herbal tea, spice, lemon and musty basement. Flavor is caramel malt sweetness with some light tartness and faint hop bitterness. Medium body with a slick mouth feel. Kind of sweet for my liking, not very refreshing or drinkable.

Det här var en god siason med en fin balans, smaken var syrlig med toner av körsbär och äpple.

A bottle pour a few weeks back. The well-crafted saison has a great spicy rye quality to it. I love The Bruery and will try anything they brew!
