Approximately 10 month old bottle. Pours a super hazy caramel color with prodigious amount of frothy whipped cream consistency foam. Aromas are Belgian candi sugar, Belgian yeast phenols, spices, and leather. Taste is less dry than expected. Still quite spicy. Shares a lot of characteristics with the Orchard White. Touch of Rye that comes off oddly with the choice of yeast...don’t know how to describe, but not altogether pleasant. Overall interesting beer. Definitely glad that I gave it the time in the bottle to calm down, though I think it could have easily taken another 10 months or more to get to its prime.

Cloudy copper with a head that is as frothy and big as can be. Nose of lemon, spice, yeast. Flavor spicey up front with spice, herbs and zest of citrus. Can really taste the heat from the alcohol, but what a wonderful suprise in this one.

[2427-20090807] 750mL bottle. Wheat yeast aroma has some whiskey notes and a mild vegetal base. Hazy, light orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head and some lacing. Wheatie yeast flavour has some sweet licorice hints and mild grape notes. Medium body is bitter. Really nice, interesting and drinkable.

Hazy golden copper, tall spongy thick head. Lemon and light white pepper and juicy orange blossom. Strong peppery and tripel notes on the palate, very spicy.

Holy shit. Aroma is slightly sour- acidic, funky, yeasty, lemon. Yum. Taste is slightly licorice, yeasty, alcoholic, oak, and funk. This beer is a lot bigger than expected by the aroma. I really want to like the taste, but I can’t. The taste ruins this for me. So hot! Funky, peppery, alcoholic, dry.

Beautiful saison. Nose of hay, grass, some good poop, some caramel, and some spice. Flavor has a nice, lemon citrus presence to add to the rest. Not as sweet as the nose, but still pretty awesome. A great dry, semi-hoppy finish goes perfectly with the rest. A bit over-carbonated but still a great saison. Really enjoyed it.
