COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison Rue is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned, Belgian/French-style farmhouse ale. This is a beer of subtlety and complexity, with malted rye, spicy, fruity yeast notes, biscuit-like malt backbone and a slight citrus hop character. With age, this beer will dry out and will become more complex with rustic notes of leather and earth from the contribution of a wild yeast strain. Being a saison, Saison Rue is ambiguous unto itself as it is a different beer when fresh and when aged.

Served from 750ml, in Berkeley (apt). Pours a hazy golden hay. Forms an offwhite rocky head, very very carbonated. Aroma is subtle farmhouse, with a hint of light malt. Palate has a very pleasurable livelyness, with a slightly creamy texture. Taste is simple and refreshing - a nice light sweetness, subtle sourness to balance the farmhouse flavour.

A simple but delicious beer. A light feeling throughout that belies the high alcohol, which didnít really hit until I finished the whole bottle. Beautiful beer during the intense rainstorm.

Bomber. Attractive hazy golden orange body with pillowy white head. Active legs. Wonderful aroma of farmyard funk, horse blanket, classic saison qualities. Flavor mimics the aroma. Rye is subtle but it enhances the beer. Excellent and one of the best beers Iíve tried in a while.

Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Smells funky with hints of stone fruits. Taste is funk, hay, white fruits and stone fruits. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and lively mouth-carbonation, Bruery Saison Rue finishes with a lingering subtle funk.

Aroma: very sour and funky; Appearance: light straw, clear with large white head that dissipates slowly; lots of lacing; Taste: also much lighter taste than aroma; not a ton of flavor; Palate: medium light body with short finish; Overall: would like flavor to follow nose more closely. Pretty good.

Cloudy and golden with a thin foam. Citrusy and musty nose and first taste with a tingly mouthfeel. Good cereal / biscuit malt taste. Finishes with a pleasant acidic tartness. Good combination of rye and yeast.

Clear dark amber pour with a big white head. Aroma is dusty brett funk, spice, and lemon. Taste follows the nose with some additional earthiness and breadiness. Dry finish.
