exploded. super heady. smells like cotton candy. a lot like the three floyds rabbid rabbit. pretty sweet, tangy, spicy a bit. hypercarbonated. drewbeerme (1895), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 28, 2008 750ml bottle. pours hazy orange with foamy head. nose is spice, floral, and earth. flavors are spicy-cardamom, earthy, toasted biscuit, rye, funk, alcohol. light body with lively carbonation, very drinkable but not bretty yet. Brewsmith (81), Torrance, California, USA Nov 21, 2008 On tap at the brewery for the AHA rally. A light amber orange and an off-white head. Aroma is spicy, fruity and a little alcohol. Flavor is complex, apples, pears, spice from the yeast, and some alcohol. Light, highly carbonated and a dry finish. A slight alcohol bite but over all very nice. I’d like to try one with some age when the Brett character comes out a little more. can8ianben (668), Pasadena, California, USA Nov 20, 2008 Sweet and sour tones come together in this delicious brew. The rye gives it a rich earthy flavor and the Belgian yeast gives it a wonderful wildness. Even though it’s brewed in SoCal, it takes you back to the farmhouse style of Europe. Rich orange in color. Just a really top notch beer. Did not expect to like this one as much as I did. Snojerk321 (1122), San Diego, California, USA Nov 19, 2008 Bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a fizzy off white head. Nose was a little funky with some banana, citrus fruits, and yeast. Flavor was slightly tart then finished sweet. Good spice and Brett presence on the palate as well.
