COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison Tonnellerie is a new addition to our portfolio of Belgian-inspired saison ales and it could be argued that it is the most traditional as it was 100% fermented in oak barrels. This sophisticated beer has picked up a rustic character akin to the original beers of the Belgian countryside that would be brewed in the colder months of the year, when fermentation temperatures were more forgiving, and served to the farm staff to keep their thirst quenched all summer long. With Spring upon us, you are just in time to stock up on this new ale for the warmer months.

Pours a hazy golden with a slight white head. Aroma is sweet, some hay. Flavor is great - slight sweetness, wheat crispness and a bit of typical saison spice and funk. Creamy mouthfeel on top of all that makes this a real winner

"This rustic ale was the surprise of the night and IMHO far superior to the solid year round and seasonal saisons from The Bruery. Bright and aromatic, quite fruity and spicy, with a good dose of fresh grassy hops and some oak that shines through as well. One of the better saisons I’ve had."

Bottle. Pours a clear, golden color with a fluffy white head. Fruity aroma mixed with the belgian yeast esters. Nice lace as the head settles. Medium mouthfeel. Not as fruity as I would have expected given the nose but decent nonetheless. Some earthy tones. Easy drinking. Slight lingering bitterness in the end that I am not the biggest fan of.

75cl bottle pours an opaque deep gold body the supports a bright white head of foam. The aroma offers up malts, grainy malts, modest yeasty spices and grounded in an earthy malt note. The taste pulses with yeasty spices and rounded out by sugary malt sweetness and a modest grainy malt note. In the background is a mild funkiness. Overall not too bad.

750ml bottle pours a cloudy lemon yellow with a thick white head and nice lacing. Aromas of spice, funk, lemon, and earth. Flavor is tart and earthy. Nice sour.
