Shegöat is a brand new beer to our lineup, based on one of Patrick’s original, multiple award winning homebrew recipes. Based primarily on the traditional weizenbock style of Germany, brewed with both malted barley and wheat, the beer is rich in the flavors of bananas, cloves and caramel with a notes of cake spice hovering in the background. Just like the banana bread that großmutter used to make.

Scopey (7406) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 26, 2014
Bottle at Chriso, thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy reddish-amber with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, brown bread, spice, bruised fruits, fruit cake, banana, apple and some tang. The taste is sweet, brown bread, clove rock, over-ripe banana, toasty, candied stuff, varnish and warming alcohol. Boozy finish. Medium+body and fine carbonation. Not much depth to it. So-so.

Chriso May 2014 tasting. Hazy amber lasting dark beige head. German weizen bock. Bit of banana ester from the yeast. Toffee. Caramel. Not really very German but ok.

Clownoisseur (264) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - MAY 2, 2014
On tap at The Bruery. Decent beer. Dark copper and hazy. Aromas of banana, clove and some caramel. Taste follows. A bit unadventurous. But, then again, the style is not my favorite. Has some nice malted sweetness, but a bit thicker than I was in the mood for. Finishes nicely with caramel and clove coming together for a nice spicie earthiness.

Good head retention and lace. Smell of wheat and bananas.

Better than expected. Bananas all day, melted caramel, banana bread. Hefe sweetness, browned toast. Solid.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Dark, amber colour with a thin, off-white head. Sweet aroma with dark, overripe fruits, caramel malts, banana and spices. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity with spices and caramel malts. Nice Weizen.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of over ripe frutis, malt, caramel, and wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, wheat, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

Capped 750 from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown, but not "very", with a creamy/foamy light tan head. Aroma is sort of banana cake with brown sugar. Haven’t had that in years. Near full bodied. Flavor is brown sugar, banana, arguably some clove, and finally it’s suggesting (a new thing in the universe) banana treacle. I’m really liking this. Treacle. Banana. Spice. What’s not to like?
