Shegöat is a brand new beer to our lineup, based on one of Patrick’s original, multiple award winning homebrew recipes. Based primarily on the traditional weizenbock style of Germany, brewed with both malted barley and wheat, the beer is rich in the flavors of bananas, cloves and caramel with a notes of cake spice hovering in the background. Just like the banana bread that großmutter used to make.

Bomber - Maple brown colored pour with off white head. Nose of malt, bananas, cloves, vanilla, and dark fruit. Taste follows the nose. Solid craft and one of the better ones of this style I have had.

Pours a hazy brown with a tan head and lacing. It has a sweet aroma of malt, raisin, and dates. The flavor is sweet malt and dark fruit up front with a sweet, raisiny finish over a medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle:   Has a bit of a clove and banana aroma, also a whole wheat breadiness.   Seems to be moreso wholesome on the tongue than the sweet banana and clove.   Heavy breadiness, light to moderate sweetness, but the clove and banana are very minor.   Smells Weizenbock like, but come across as a bit more subdued on the tongue.   Some aspects scream Weizen Bock, but it has neither the caramel sweetness nor the body for such a beer.   Was really hoping this was going to be rich, caramel, and sweet, but it was moderate, bready in a whole wheat sense, and with only a light sweetness.   Damnit!   Thanks Rob for the chance to try this one!   Decent, but I expected more from The Bruery.

Mildly sweet tones that are inundated by bread-like consistency. It has an articulate complexity that isn’t too punchy or resoundingly overbearing. Pretty solid weizen bock.

Bomber to tulip. Hazy dark amber pour with a medium beige head. Nose is banana, cola, bread. Flavor follows with caramel, fruity esters; mostly sweet with some bready qualities. Interesting and enjoyable.

750mL bottle pours with a murky amber body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up pears and apple esters that make it seem malt liquor like before it heads into some mild nutty and roasted malt notes. The taste has a smooth sweetness of pear and apple fruity esters and then it picks up a mix of raisins and roasted malts. Pretty good.
