Shegöat is a brand new beer to our lineup, based on one of Patrick’s original, multiple award winning homebrew recipes. Based primarily on the traditional weizenbock style of Germany, brewed with both malted barley and wheat, the beer is rich in the flavors of bananas, cloves and caramel with a notes of cake spice hovering in the background. Just like the banana bread that großmutter used to make.

on tap @ The Bruery, wonderful aroma of spicy banana nut bread with a hint of clove. Taste is very similar a bit of bubblegum and candy cake. Wonderful beer

This is one of those beers if you like it than you like it. All the reviews are personal opinions anyways. For me this beer is great. Banana, fruity, hay, reminds me of bierre garde style of beers and being in the northern style of france. I enjoy it for what it is.

Capped 750 from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown, but not "very", with a creamy/foamy light tan head. Aroma is sort of banana cake with brown sugar. Haven’t had that in years. Near full bodied. Flavor is brown sugar, banana, arguably some clove, and finally it’s suggesting (a new thing in the universe) banana treacle. I’m really liking this. Treacle. Banana. Spice. What’s not to like?

750ml bottle pours a hazy brown color with a yellow tinge. Bold caramel flavors and a little banana. Nicely balanced sweetness.

Bomber - Maple brown colored pour with off white head. Nose of malt, bananas, cloves, vanilla, and dark fruit. Taste follows the nose. Solid craft and one of the better ones of this style I have had.

Murky brown pour with ample head and lacing. Big aroma of banana, clove, plum, and other spice. Body is bigger than usual with a little booze showing (it’s one fault). Flavor is big too...similar to the aroma and just a bit heavier than is typical for the style. Cool to compare to Deschutes, who also just brewed a big Weizenbock. They get the nod, but this was damn good too

Aroma is nice with medium banana and chocolate notes. Lighter clove and toasted malt character. Medium light melanoidins of toasted bread and cherry. As it warns you pick up some plum and prune. Pours brown to dark brown with hints of ruby. Big, tall, thick tan head that has really nice retention. Medium lacing and medium small legs. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a balance between the maltiness and the fruit notes. Fairly sweet with some toasted bread, caramel, toffee, chocolate and even roast. Balanced with banana, pear, cherry, plum and prune. Moderate bitterness and low alcohol spice help cut through the sweetness and dry out the finish a bit. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation and a bit of a silkiness. Low but present astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a pretty nice beer, especially the aroma but the flavor has a bit of an odd twang in the finish. I also find the beer to be a bit sweet and possibly under attenuated. I like the malt and ester complexity though and they they play off each other well.
