3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap; dark brown in color. Aroma of molasses and soy, with some sweetness and vanilla. Flavor had the same components, and for the style and alcohol content this was quite drinkable.

Bottle share thanks to Taylor. A ton of booze in the nose. Of course. A light smokiness but not overpowering. Taste is booze and chocolate with a touch of roast. Solid. A lot less smoke than I expected.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, vanilla, lightly smoked malts, some roast and chocolate from the malts, and light caramel. Flavor the same with a great blend of bourbon, the lightly smoked malts, and dark malts. Smooth texture. A good beer.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Pours a lovely dark chocolate body with a mocha head. Smells of bourbon and smoked malt. Tastes of sweet malt with a nice smokey flavor that’s offset with the bourbon. Goes down easy with a hint of a bite.

Taste is a mix of thick chocolate, coffee, roast into a nice smoke, spicy middle, the bourbon and oak come through with hints of vanilla, finishing sweet, slightly dry. Tasty.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark brown in color, head is a lot more dark than the rye version... Aroma is smoked, peated malts... Flavor is smoked malts, spiciness from rye, but with nice balance from bourbon aging... Vanilla, sweetness on the palate... Great beer, better than the rye

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Deep cola, nearly black, thin sudsy tanish head, little lacing.   Does have legs, like an oily lacing.   Woody, alcohol, graham cracker, and roasty chocolate.   Smooth soft bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, and graham cracker on the tongue  . Sweet on the tongue, smooth, roasty but not bitter or ashy.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Sweet bourbon, graham cracker, and chocolate on the finish.   This is great stuff!   Thanks Ron!
