3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ The Bruery. Murky dark amber pour with a small off-white head. Smells like their anniversary beer. Tons of maple syrup, vanilla, oak, and bourbon. Nice chocolate, dates, and a hint of pecan pie. Slight butterscotch. Flavor is quite sweet. Tastes of butterscotch, caramel, and maple syrup for the most part. Slight tartness of raisins. Some dates, plums, and a nice vanilla note. Mild chocolate and nuts. This seems okay fresh, but I don’t see this getting anything but worse.

Deep amber pour, tan head. Flavor is sweet up front, some raisiny notes, honey, toothpick, cereal grain, doughy. Interesting if not a bit odd.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750ml bottle. Poured a deep brown color with an averaged sized of white head. Woody (more in the aromas), bourbon (more in the tastes), vanilla, caramel, and some fruitiness. The alcohol will creep up on you (and it did on me the next morning when I woke up with a headache!).

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
750ml bottle. Weird combination of flavors, another Bruery beer that I don’t understand.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from The Bruery. Pours reddish brown with a transient beige head and a sour fruit and toffee aroma. There is a burnt molasses and vanilla flavor with a slightly sour slightly bitter finish and a warm alcohol trail. Very tasty. A fortunate accident indeed.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Not a WHOLE lot different than the base, bcause the barrel still is the preveailing component. Maybe a little smaller with a quick earthy shot and touch of tart, but you really gotta work for it. Worthy addition

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Big English Barley Wine or Olde Ale, can’t really tell.   Doesn’t have all that figgy or dark pitted fruit that an Olde Ale might have, so.... leaning towards big English Barley Wine.   Certainly malty, heavy, strong Bourbon aspects.   Fairly full bodied.   Big bruiser of a malty English Barley Wine style beer.   Lots of breadiness, caramel, toffee, with a touch of dark pitted fruit.   Old Ale.. really?

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown pour with not much of a head. The aroma is fairly boozy. I get some heavy caramel malt as well as some toffee and brown sugar. The whiskey and oak notes really come through in the flavor. There is also a lot of sweet molasses and brown sugar notes. Very sweet and boozy. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice beer, but a bit messy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(750ml bottle) cloudy deep and rich brown with offwhite edge bubbles. Nose of rum raisin, bourbon, funk like a saison, cream. Taste of rum raisin, toasty sugar, bourbon, rich and decadent. Slightly funky too.
