Hazy orange color with minimal head due to the cask pour. Starts out with a nice vanilla aroma. Tons of kumquat and a very citrusy aroma overall. A decent amount of wood with just a mild rye and vinegar note. A touch of grass along with the wood really the only funk. Restrained acetic qualities and a nice tartness overall. Plenty of kumquat flavor makes this really enjoyable.

On cask at the Reserve Society Event. Pours with a hazy orange to golden hued body with a small, foamy head. Aromas are of Christmas Fruit Cake, citrus, candied fruits, earthy, sour, funky, a touch of oak and zesty. Flavors are very sour with some additional citric notes, lactic, zesty with some kumquat oil character. Really interesting and fun. Bright. Mild carbonation and zesty over the long and sour duration.

Firkin at The Bruery Reserve Society Party. Aroma of tart lemon, orange zest and sourness. Some funk also. Taste is of sour Kumquat, lemon, rye malt and slight funkiness. The Kumquat really comes through, not over powering or under stated, just right.
