Bottle share at the Syb Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Snifter. Pours a hazy light amber with a one finger white head. Aroma is sour fruits, funk, must and a hint of the rye malts. The taste is a sour punch up front with the backend being earth, tart fruits, malted rye, and an almost blue-cheese punch. The sour lingers on the finish. As it warms more of the fruit (Kumquat) comes through and the sourness tends to wane some. Light-medium body, good carb. Tingles on the palette.

Darkish orange with a small pale head. Aroma is kumquat, dried peach, orange juice, touch of funk. Medium bodied, citrusy spur on the palate with a slightly dry fruity finish. Taste is kumquat, sweet orange peel, sour peach candy.

More aggressively sour than any batch of SITR I’ve had before (in a good way). Maaaaybe the tartness takes away a little of the off the charts complexity in the awesome base beer, but this is tart and fruity, oakey and acidic. What a treat!

Bottle in trade. Pours a tan copper, not much head. Aroma is tart. Taste is super tart, sour, my poor jowels. Get a bit if the fruity notes. Is that a kumquat? Feel the acid in my belly. Good sour to share.

Bottle share at NG Wild Peach release. Pour is hazy orange/golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma and flavor of mango, kumquat, passion fruit, mild cherry, lactic acid, earth, and oak. Finish is bitter, sour, and dry, with a slight sweetness.

Bottle. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Aroma is slightly acidic with notes of citrus. Flavor is pretty sour and the kumquats add a nice touch as well. Vinous and citrus character all throughout. Not overwhelmingly sour either, very drinkable. Delicious. Thanks Homer for the bottle!

Great amber with a cream head. Nose is wood, sour, acidic, tart, dried fruits, and delicious. Great palate, sour, tart, acidic, wood, funky, and a nice finish.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and caramel-colored with a small, fat-bubbled, white head. Decent retention. The aroma displays spicy grains accompanied by other spicy, herbal and rooty notes. Full-bodied with a dry mouthfeel and airy carbonation. The flavor is both sour and spicy flanked by a weird, herbal component. Finishes tart, sandpapery and dry. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!

Bottle share thanks to beechner224. Side by side with SitR-Peach. Aroma is very sour and acidic, tart, more so than the Peach. More of a darker orange color with small off white head. Much as all SitR, big huge sour and tart character, citrusy Kumquat adds to acidity, definitely more sour than Peach. kumquat expression is more pronounced as it warms. Very sour overall, nice.

Sampled at Where the Wild Beers Are, 6/7/14
Glad to have gotten to try this. The kumquats play nicely with the underlying sour beer making this pretty balanced for the style.
