Big thanks to tectactoe. I liked this one better than Sour In The Rye. Still that nice vinegar tart but with more citrus.

Une marmelade surette et délicatement lactique flanquée d’une éventail malté complexe mais éphémère. Superbe et surprenant considérant que je n’ai pas été impressionné par la version sans Kumquats.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: Murky Orange Hue, Passes Mild Light, White Head Ring, Mild Lacing
S: Dank Musty Grapes, Kumquats, Rye Malts, Mild Citrus
T: Kumquats, Rye, Citrus, Mild Lactic Acid
M: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Semi Bitter, Mildly Tart
Overall, it seems that the kumquats cut down the lactic acid on this one but you still get all the other qualities of the base Sour in the Rye....loving this beer better.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle: The aroma consists orange/citrus, light lemon, light floral notes, and a touch of tropical fruits. It pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with moderate tart orange/citrus and faint tropical fruits. The finish has moderate-heavy sour lemon, light lime, and a hint of vinegar. It?s light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle... Poured pale, hazy golden/amber with a moderate head. Nose o strong citrus notes with musky yeast spice. Straight kumquat flavor. Quite nice with strong acidity from both citrus and lactic yeast tones. Refreshingly tart but not aggressively sour which allowed all the great kumquat fruit flavors to come through.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Intensely tart but extremely well balanced by the kumquats... Almost fruit juice notes that give way to spicy rye and tartness, delicious and better than the original

Pours orange with a golden hue and creamy beige head. Aroma brings sweet citrus unique flavors, definitely the kumquats with super subtle funk and tang. Flavor brings tangy citrus fruit with a big tart body that makes the mouth pucker with linings of tropical fruit so pleasant on the palate.

Very nice bronze and burnt orange appearance. Nice head which fades fast. Nose is bold and acidic. Very aggressive with lovely citrus and booming almond aroma. Taste is just as lovely. Taste is just as nice. Very smooth. I feel like I’m biting into a tangerine with grapefruit zest and a touch of kiwi. Very acidic and the rye is subdued. Honestly, I think the orange acidity and sweetness is great and it truly should be enjoyed fresh. Delicious and wonderful. A dang good American sour
