This American Wild Rye Ale was brewed with a substantial portion of rye malt, and the spicy character of the grain asserts itself with clove and pepper in the aroma and flavor. Add in sour cherry notes from our special blend of micro-organisms and vanilla from the red wine barrels and you’ve got a mouthful!

750 ml. bottle- Pours hazy dark orange with a two finger head that slowly reduces. Aroma is in your face tart, spicy from the rye, bready too, oak, this beer has so much going on, very complex. The taste is mouth puckering sour, rye bread of course, spicy, cherries, oak, again massively complex. Body is medium, carbonation is medium high. Overall I loved it, one of the most complex beers I have had.

Bottle care of big Thom. Split with Sean, Janine, and Thom. Pours translucent chestnut with a thin, wispy tan head. No lace. Aroma of lemon, ripe strawberries, & blueberry cotton candy. Tastes very tart, with tropical fruit & blossoming flower notes. Pretty good. Reminds me a lot of LA Red Poppy. Cool brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
