COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sour in the Rye is an American wild ale. A challenging beer to brew due to the substantial amount of rye malt, but you’ll be glad we took the time. The character of the rye asserts itself with clove and pepper in the aroma and flavor, and contributes a full body not generally found in sour beers. Pleasantly sour with notes of tart cherry, rustic earth and vanilla notes from a year-plus of barrel aging.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a small white head of foam. Aroma is predominantly sour with a spicy rye character hiding in the background. Some funky shit. Taste is sour and nicely spicy rye character. Interesting sour, and very tasty. Good stuff for sure.

Bottled. Pours hazy pale amber with a small, lacing off-white head. Aroma of cherry, vanilla, caramel, rye, wood and spice. Slightly sweet lavor that ends up dry and tart. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Sour. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Orange. Tart cherry aroma. Straight tart cherry taste. Puckering and highly acidic. Actually stings the back of my throat. Like drinking a sour warhead candy, which isnt necessarily bad. Oily palate.

Pours orange / light amber with a beige head. The aroma has cherry, vanilla, bugs, cream, vinegar, citrus and berries. It has a medium crisp body with biting carbonation. The flavor starts with crisp citrus and vinegar sourness, bugs, oak, acid, apples, blackberries and some lemons. The finish has a big sour bite and kinda funky. Nice.

Bouteille. Merci Charles !. Excellente.

Poured from an oversize bottle. Shared with JB. Clear orange-caramel colour with minimal head. Sour notes filled the room as soon as I opened the bottle. There are notes of sour cherry, barnyard, grass, lemon, and malt on the nose. The Flavour is green apple, sour cherry, Sauvignon, grass, and subtle cloves and vanilla. Light-moderate body with medium carbonation and a crisp tart finish. Awesome!

Bottle shared by a friend. Batch 1. Poured a murky Amber colour with a slight head. Notes of wet malts, citrus fruits, tart notes, horseblanket, grains, old dust notes, pineapple, lactose, full bodied mouthfeel. Very weird taste. Not good as a sour
