Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, oxidide, sour fruit - berry, red wine, wood, aceton, light vinegar. Flavor is heavy sweet and light moderate acidic with a long to average duration, wood, oak, red wine, dry, vinegar - acetone. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feelis light alcohlic. [20110318]

Bottled. An unclear dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, rye, malt, caramel, and wood. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of wood, brettanomyces, malt, caramel, and wood, leading to a dry and tart finish.

Bottle @ Norway/Denmark Tasting @ Ulfborg. Courtesy of Fonefan. Thanks a million. Pours ruby amber red with a small bubbly head on top. Nose is tart and oaky. Red berries. Very sweet with quite a bit of vanilla. Sweet, yet tart and prickly. Acetone and a bit of vinegar. Very American.

Bottle, 75cl, courtesy of fonefan. A rather flat one, but not entirely flat. Some off-white bubbles around the rim. The aroma has vinegar, oak, cherry pits, some spiced notes, hints of vanilla and a little alcohol. The flavor goes in the same sour direction. It’s acetic and cherry infused, almond notes and a touch of oak and vanilla chimes in, some alcohol too, giving a slight burn towards the end. It’s full-bodied, warming and puckering on the palate. A touch of tropical fruits towards the very end. Although it doesn’t look too good when out of the bottle, it sure tastes and smells good. Definitely a sipper, but I wouldn’t resist sipping one on my own. 110318
