COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American Wild Rye Ale was brewed with a substantial portion of rye malt, and the spicy character of the grain asserts itself with clove and pepper in the aroma and flavor. Add in sour cherry notes from our special blend of micro-organisms and vanilla from the red wine barrels and you’ve got a mouthful!

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2014 Pours out light coppery gold with light white head. All barnyard funk in the nose. Pulls in medium bodied with deep sour with a bit of rye spice. One of my favorite sours.

Unbelievable sour. Home run in my book. Many pleasant citrus notes with minor hops notes makes this great for me. Not to overpowering of any one element.

De botella en CervezaConArte Málaga (distribución de Zombier). Muy compleja, pero equilibrada. La mejor cerveza que he probado este año.

My favorite sour to date. Love that I can get this locally now. Nothing bad to say, it's all I want in a sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2014 Bottle… This beer rocks!… Pours murky and caramel-colored with a small, fluffy, off-white head. The bouquet is just bursting-at-the-seams with toasted oak, funky sock acidity and caramel – just a hint of rye spiciness. Full-bodied and creamy with soft carbonation. This baby is sour as Hell – totally unexpected from a 10% abv whale of a specialty grain beer. There’s some spiciness from the rye and silly yeasts, but really, it’s all about the s-o-u-r. Finishes (you guessed it) sour and caramely with just the slightest trace of butter at the wee end. Totally wowed by this world class beer. Thanks go out to giarcsr for shipping this baby my way!

Simply incredible. One of the best sours I’ve ever had, and easily the best American sour. Perfect balance of tartness and spice for a truly unique, refreshing drinking experience.

An aroma that starts out good and ends up top notch. A good strong sour and peppery bite. This is what I was looking for! The funk is strong and grainy and escellent. Absolutely loved it. First time I was blown away here.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2013 Bottle on 8/22/13. I’m not picking on much rye or oak behind all the sour, but I’m still in love. The nose is amazing between the berries and funk. First sip the pucker is like a punch to the face. Nice balance of flavor with a bit of sweetness as you continue sipping. A new favorite.

Pours a burnt orange with thin white head. Honestly it’s the perfect sour ale. Probably the sourest beer i’ve had. Unbelievable flavor and finish. A must have beer.
