Unbelievable sour. Home run in my book. Many pleasant citrus notes with minor hops notes makes this great for me. Not to overpowering of any one element.

BottleÖ This beer rocks!Ö Pours murky and caramel-colored with a small, fluffy, off-white head. The bouquet is just bursting-at-the-seams with toasted oak, funky sock acidity and caramel Ė just a hint of rye spiciness. Full-bodied and creamy with soft carbonation. This baby is sour as Hell Ė totally unexpected from a 10% abv whale of a specialty grain beer. Thereís some spiciness from the rye and silly yeasts, but really, itís all about the s-o-u-r. Finishes (you guessed it) sour and caramely with just the slightest trace of butter at the wee end. Totally wowed by this world class beer. Thanks go out to giarcsr for shipping this baby my way!

Simply incredible. One of the best sours Iíve ever had, and easily the best American sour. Perfect balance of tartness and spice for a truly unique, refreshing drinking experience.

An aroma that starts out good and ends up top notch. A good strong sour and peppery bite. This is what I was looking for! The funk is strong and grainy and escellent. Absolutely loved it. First time I was blown away here.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2013 Bottle on 8/22/13. Iím not picking on much rye or oak behind all the sour, but Iím still in love. The nose is amazing between the berries and funk. First sip the pucker is like a punch to the face. Nice balance of flavor with a bit of sweetness as you continue sipping. A new favorite.

Vinous sour and dark complex fruity aroma. Oaky, peppery, dark fruit in the aroma. Taste is brilliant vinous sour. Prop 7 of 10 vinous. Get the lactic sour, some oaky flavors, some peppery spice and maybe even some orange peel like flavors. As with all the bruery sours this one is fantastic. The more I drink the more I like it. Competes with oude tart for my favorite bruery sour so far ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Fire works Leesburg. Pours brown with an inch of khaki foam. Big sour cherry and Cabernet on the nose and tongue. Quite lovely. Guaranteed to jump start any palate.
