Sour sweet and inviting aroma. Nice dark red/brown color with white head. Taste is sour and full. Boozy with some malt. Very filling. Palate is zesty and full with plenty of sour pucker but no over powering. Well balanced.

Almost clear strawberry/ruby with tiny white head, looks great. Sour cherry lactic acid nose. Taste is big on the sour, dry red wine, vinegar, little oak, I guess rye (but I really don’t know how to describe rye). finishes tart, lemon pucker.

Sampled at a work co-ordinated tasting. Simply an excellent sour. Very well balanced and void of the "funkiness" that often is present in most sours.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled with kristen on thanksgiving eve. Near clear amber pour with good offwhite head. Tart cherry nose with hints of horseblankets and poptarts. Flavor is sour cherry pie all the way. Similar to smartees sour candies. Red wine qualities, and a mouthpuckering sour finish. for my money, I prefer the oude tart to this, but it is still damn good.

Ruby pour with a bit of head that quicky disappears. Aroma is not very strong, but indicative of the sourness, as well as a leather and woodiness. Taste is vinegar, tart cherry, the sourness here is relatively light, very nice. This is a great warm weather beer, too bad its -25 here.
