750ml bottle, big thanks to alexsdad06 for donating to the share. Labeled 8.2%. Bottle was a slow gusher (my favorite kind of gusher -- nothing wasted). Totally hazy brown red color, sort of a brick color. Ring of off-white head. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Satisfyingly bigger sour taste, lighter sweet, mild dry finish. Awesome big blackberry, some chocolate, mild cherry, oakiness. Love it. Fantastic sour ale. A great one to sip, sip, sip.

750 ml to taster (shared by alexsdad06). Looks good; a cloudy amberish caramel with fizzy light caramel head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes tart and lactic with a nice dark berry presence. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly lively medium-bodied mouthfeel. Good beer.

Tasting at Craft Clerkenwell. Hazy reddish brown beer, small peach - pink colour head. Palate is light, dry and crisp. Starts with a burst of sharp sourness, cherry and a little lemon acid. Nice balancing toasted coconut comes in and then a little balsamic. Finishes crisp. Pretty tart and fruity but the coconut really helps to smooth it out.

Bottle shared at craft clerko. Thanks to Ken. Aroma is tart, raspberry, cherry, smokey, solvent. Hazed orange / pink coloured pour with a lasting loose pink greyish head. Flavour is composed of smokey, tart cherry, raspberry, semi sweet sour, crisp and clean. Palate is medium sweet and sour. Bit of toasted coconut lingers. Highish carbonation.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenny. Pours murky red with a frothy, off-white head. Interesting aroma, some tart citrus, berries, wood, sweat. Medium sweet flavor with some apple sauce, tangy wood and berries, lemon rind, citric twang, decent acetic bite. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with some woody dryness, more acetic burn, leathery berries, toasted coconut, spicy wood. Novel.

Scopey (7618) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2015
Bottle, big thanks to Ken. It pours hazy red/dirty amber with a medium white head. The nose is rich, earthy, funk, wood, vanilla, toasty coconut, cherry, jam and blackberry. The taste is crisp, tart, sherbet, wood, jammy, cherry skin, raspberry, blackberry, granny smith apple, some acidity (but not too much) and wood, with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Juicy and tart. One of Bruery’s best sours for sure.

750mL bottle. This lived up to its name, as the beer tried to escape after I opened it. The aroma picked up dusty cellar, sour cherries, and leather topped by light pie spices, more cherry, and assertive floral notes.. very interesting. The flavor found tart cherries and oak barrel on the tip of the tongue, with strong, slightly boozy vinous notes following.. cherry zest and red wine barrel laced throughout.. more tart than sour on the finish, and very dry. Medium-bodied with more filling carbonation than expected.. very tart and very dry overall.. good stuff.

Cloudy brown with a thick, persistent foam. Aroma of brown sugars, light fruit, wood, and a touch of vanilla. Tart dark cherry blows up the taste buds and fades into smooth dark fruits. Love that this beer is not too sweet. Finish is flavorful and balanced.

Bottle: Muddy, dense, & slightly red-tinted copper, brown-ish body with a beige head that fizzles out to a small collar instantly. Aroma of mild tart, acidic cherry skins, berries, lemon flesh, lactic acid, mild yogurt, vinous oak, & a hint of booziness that shines through. Smells tart as hell. Tastes tart as hell. Acetic sourness, mild vinegar, lemon, lactic acid, cherry skin, vinous grapes, faint raspberry seediness. Sharp oak & dry, acidic finish with a mild acetic burn going down. A very nice sour for sourheads.
