Batch 1 bottle thanks to Aaron. Pours a cloudy amber with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is a strong cherry skin, oak, funk, vinegar. Thin mouthfeel with nice tart cherry, oak, lactic, very sour, really enjoyed this one.

Bottle, 2013 release. Thanks, Abraham!Pouring a deep caramel with a dense, beige head with excellent retention and nice lacing, this looks great! The nose is bright, fruity, fragrant and sharp. Bright and sour raspberries and blackberries, the deep, fruity essence captured quite well, mildly jammy even. This is followed by a moderate dark honey and caramel aroma, mildly leathery in nature. Sourness is prominent with a blend of red wine vinegar and sharp lactic acid. Nice. The palate opens puckering and sour with a blend of jammy, raspberry and blackberry sourness, a noticeable vinegar note and a palate bruising lactic bite. The fruit character is fantastic. The mid palate has honey, brown sugar, vanilla, a little bit of rum and burnt sugar. The absence of seed derived tannins is impressive and allows the fruit to shine. Medium in body and highly carbonated, this beer has a long, sweet and sour finish. As it warms up, the vinegar character grows to levels approaching unpleasantness, but served cold, the fruit character really dominates and shines. Recommended.

Amber pour with a white head. The aroma has some huge fruit notes. I get some cherry and cranberry as well as a decent amount of tartness and caramel malt. The flavor is similar. The juicy cherries and cranberries meld with some tart dark fruit and light funk. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Poured from bottle to tulip. Hazy amber hue with creamy off white head that held a ring. Aroma is musky, tobacco, figs, lactic, prunes, leather, raisins. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness followed by a dominating sour tartness that extends fully through the finish. Overall this is a nice sour beer.

Bottle shared by phaleslu at Muckfest V on 7/12/14. Thanks Peter! Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Malty and sour nose with some cherry notes. Malty and sweet flavor up front, giving way to a sour cherry finish. Tasty.
