(Last) bottle at City Beer. Aroma is sour berry goodness. Flavor was distinct cherry, berry, sour Brett, etc. Just an amazing sour. Palate is great considering the amount of barrel-aging (7 barrels?). Amazing beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A - pours hazy super delux effervescent with really high foamy long lasting reddish brown head. So effervescent it's churning the yeast the too looks like a fountain with the bubble continually creating head. S - smells SOUR!!!. Simple acidic notes, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, and a hint of pickle juice. red wine tannins and grape juice come next. The barrel notes, fruit and sugar end the aromas. Cherry compote, rich pie crust, caramel malts and wood. M - rich full body. Tart notes on the top of the tongue and back of the throat. Lingering fruity malty compote. High fizzy carb. T - taste is not right on with the nose. Sweet up front with simple sugars, followed immediately by a quick punch of sour, with lemon, malty yet acids. Fruity warm pie crust on the palate. Cherries and general berry ish notes, vanilla, dough and red wine tannins. Thank god we had this aged or it would have been a sour punch in the face. Lingering malty finish. O - Very dessert like with a strong acidic twist. A great sour from the bruery. The best sour from the yet. But somehow too similar to oude tart, trois poules, tart of darkness. 4.3 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - WALEZ tasting. Bit of a gusher, but not bad. Pours completely cloudy hazel with a medium off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma is light lemon, yeast, wood, red wine, non-descript fruitiness. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet, medium tart with a light woody astringence. Quite fruity, but I would never bee able to pick blackberries and raspberries out by myself. Medium body, heavy carbonation. Nice beer, glad I got a chance to try this one.

Bottle poured a dark cherry color. Nose was sweet dark fruit with a slight funk. Flavor was funky cherry, blackberry/raspberry. drank side by side with 3F oud kriek, and these were very similar in style.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2013 Brambles shine over the cherries; plenty of carb. Delicate, highly refined, fruity.

An excellent American sour, and certainly one of The Bruery’s finest. I love this beer.

Bottle shared with friends. Another sour that I’ve been dying to open since I got it in a trade. Again I’m not gonna dress it up with fancy words and adjectives. This sour is amazing! Nice fruity tartness with slight funk. Praying I have another chance to try this one.

Pours deep semitransparent copper with a big off white head. Nose is sour fruits, molasses, dates, vinegar and lemon. Taste is sweet at first and then is crushed by sour weight. Mouthfeel is soft and yet lively after the fact, body is medium and the finish is big.

Bottle shared by drabmuh. Thanks Matt! A bit of a gusher...The beer is hazy, appearing a dark brown / orange hue with a sizable off white head. Cherries, berries, funk. This beer is very tart. Wow. Pucker. Alrighty then. The beer is medium to full bodied. Alcohol shows itself more as the beer is allowed to warm. Highly acetic. While I am extremely grateful to taste this rare delicacy from The Bruery, this one is not among their top offerings, in my opinion. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-04-2012

Bottle at where else. Amazing chery, spice, caramel, sour pear and apple aroma. Tart bright sticky palate. Tastes of sour cherry and black berry up front, spice and caramel in the middle, and a very acidic lemon finish.
