COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Summer seasonal, Trade Winds Tripel is a Belgian-style Golden Ale with a Southeast Asian twist. Instead of using candi sugar (typical for such a beer), we use rice in the mash to lighten the body and increase the gravity, and spice with Thai Basil. The result is an aromatic, digestible and complex beer made for a lazy summer evening. (ABV: 8%, IBU: 25, SRM: 5, Release: Summer, Format: 750 mL bottles)

Sitting 10ft up a giant tree seemed like a great idea until super sized brads foot destroyed his chair/ladder. Its pretty thick, lots of angles, a bit rough around the edges, leafy, but a bit sparce at the bottom. No woody smell. But it has some youngness amiss the senior side. Musky spicy attempt to get where we are. But enough about the tree - decent almost unadventuous beer.

750ml bottle pours a clear gold with a ring of sticky, white head. Nose has a ton of spice, coriander, white pepper, candy sugar. Flavor is spicy, sweet, candy sugar, honey, coriander, grass. Full bodied, sticky, spicy finish.

750ml bottle. Cooper color with thin white head. Apple juice aroma. Taste is a little peppery and sweet. Unique taste. Not bad, but there are better triplels.

Medium head. Average body. Mild nose. Very well made triple. Rice gives it a lighter, less sweet body. Balances very well with the yeast. Mild hint of basil. Well made, easygoing style, yet satisfying. I think a bit of lemongrass and ginger could spice it up a bit to live up more to its name. Great brew though..

Spain just lost and Im drinking good beer. Viva! Haha. Pours cloudy orange with OK head and lacing. Coriander and some light basil. Finishes with light sweetness. Some booze. Well done and basil is just present enough to add an interesting twist to the style. Tap at Bruery event at Scion.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a huge off-white fluffy head that quickly fades. The aroma is yeast, fruity esters of pear and green apple, and a hint of spice. The taste adds some sweet bready malt. Clean palate with a dry light finish. Very good overall - perfect for summer! --Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I really liked the thai basil in this light and refreshing brew. I get the name of the brew after the first taste. Extremely light going down and smooth, yet gives you a lot of different tastes with the various spices. Just opened it after a southern thunderstorm, perfect combination!

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is Belgiany, fruity, banana, clove, spicy. Taste is light to medium bodied, ripe fruits, effervescent, herbal. Alright.

Pours murky apricot with tall white head. Aroma of yeast, honey, overripe fruit (peach and apricot), light wheat. Taste is funky, somewhat stale, sweet with loads of honey and wheat. Body is light to medium and smooth with soft carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Whole Foods. Pours a clear light orange color with full sponge head that slowly diminished to a creamy lacing with layer of foam atop the meniscus. Active carbonation. Aroma is sweet, yeasty, with notes of citrus and spice. Flavor is sweet and spicy tripel, with citrus and grassy notes from the basil. Alcohol is very well masked. Solid beer, though overly sweet finish.
